Well we learned the answer to the question we’ve been asking ourselves all year. What happened to stickers?

It sucks that he went out this way but it’s nice to have a little closure. I had been watching this buck every year since he was 2.5 until he died last year at 6.5 so this has been a rough day. Regardless I don’t have any regrets about letting him walk. He was always going to die on the ranch of natural causes although I had hoped it would be several years later.

He will always be a ranch legend just as iconic as the Triple Drop himself and hopefully we start to see more and more deer like him in the future!

It might not look like it, but this buck is easily 6.5 years old and could very well be pushing 7 or 8!

Some people may not be a fan, but I really like this buck. Today he stepped out at 500 yards and without hesitation I knew it was him. I couldn’t tell you what he scores, not that it matters anyway. Just a cool looking South Texas deer!
