Extended Family Sessions. Not gonna lie, I used to avoid these, say no to these and run away from these. After recently photographing four back to back, I'm starting to appreciate them more than I ever did, especially with my mom being gone.

I require a ONE TIME sitting fee. My website states what it includes and doesn't and also has frequently asked questions about it.

After my sessions, I immediately come home to my home office and upload your unedited gallery for you to look through, majority of the time, the same day of your session.

Once you click that link to look through your unedited gallery you have TWO WEEKS to choose your images. I pay monthly fees to store clients images on Shoot Proof. In the past, I've eaten these fees along with credit card fees. As of this year 2026, I will enforce my two week policy because I have no choice now that I'm busier.

Clients, you have two weeks to choose your images. Once chosen, you can email me or text me. After that, I begin my editing process which normally takes one day. When your images are edited, I will bill you via Square. You pay at YOUR convenience. Once that invoice is paid, your edited images become downloadable. They will still have my watermark to ensure proper download. If you download (not screen shoot) the watermark will disappear. When the download is over, I get a notification on my end that the photos were downloaded. That's when they are removed permanently from Shoot Proof. I will store your images up to ONE year. After that, they are removed.

I charge a $35 re upload fee. My client is the person who hired me/paid my sitting fee.

With all that being said, retirements, promotions, graduation ceremonies are the perfect time to get those shots with everyone in town!

Another retirement down. 28 years of service right here. A loving wife and four incredible children. I'm starting to realize that the closer we get to this, the harder these will be to shoot. There's something about closing that book, you know, the only one you've known for so long. Where to move, where to live, where to work, what the wear. This retirement was beautiful. I get to photograph them again tonight ;)

This was at least our 10th photo session together. I tend to lose count sometimes. To say we're extremely comfortable with one another would be an understatement. Last night/yesterday evening I got to the beach way too dang early BUT the light. My goodness the light. I'll be showing way more from this session when I can take a look at them and decide with editing style to go with. One thing is for certain, this is her third pregnancy and the third time I've taken her maternity photos, and I've never seen her look so dang beautiful in all my life.

This incredible dress is in my client closet and was purchased for this very session. When I came across it I immediately seen her wearing it.

This is my friend Aleesha, and her baby is due on Gracie's birthday. We don't yet know if it's a boy or a girl and I cannot wait to become an Auntie again!!!!!

I dreamed of one day being booked and as busy as I am now, I prayed for it, yearned for it. I never thought it would happen especially with moving every 3 years. In two months, we'll have lived here for 4 years. Almost the longest we've ever stayed put. Typically, when my business starts doing well and I finally start building clientele we move. Not this time folks. We're here for good.

Shooting tonight, twice on Tuesday, possibly Wednesday or Thursday and I've got two sessions lined up next week. I'm so grateful for all of it. My website has been updated with my availability. It also has my pricing, frequently asked questions, sitting fee information and more. Don't like my work? My vibe? Hire someone's you do. I edit how I edit and that changes daily. I edit by the vibe of the session, the cloud cover, the light, the outfits and the mood. None of my sessions are the same as shown below.

Think you can't afford me? Think again. I work will all budgets and can work out payment plans.

Class of 2027, now's the time to start planning.

I've been photographing a lot of these lately. I've got another next week. Retirements hit different these days, especially when you know how incredible the person truly is in and out of that uniform.

Today I got to witness one of my best friends' husband retire. I cried. Gracie cried. She cried. We cried. For 21 years Cody dedicated his entire world to the United States Marine Corps. Now he can begin a whole new chapter with Rae and Becca at his side. I know the Lord has big plans for this family. I cannot wait for this next chapter!

Congratulations 1st Sgt. Waldroup on your outstanding performance over the many years and dedication to the Corps and to your Country! Your watch is over

I'd say we're a military family. My grandfather stormed the beaches of Normandy France. His friends didn't make it home. My uncle served in Vietnam, he came home. I didn't realize just how many didn't until I visited Washington DC and the Vietnam Memorial with cadets from LHS. The Vietnam memorial hits different. There are so many names. I also have three first cousins all who served. My husband continues to serve and there's this whole Marine Corps Base named after my husband's second cousin, 6 generations back.

I'm going to tell you about two. Two names that have affected me my husband's whole career. Two men I never met nor knew but a cousin from Louisiana's wife's brother just so happened to be one of their roommates. It's a small world you guys and an even smaller Marine Corps.

On April 22, 2008, in Ramadi, Iraq, two Marine infantrymen stood their ground and opened fire on a truck carrying 2,000 pounds of explosives as it barreled toward their post and the 150 Marines and Iraqi police inside the perimeter.

The truck stopped just shy of Cpl. Jonathan Yale and Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter, its windshield and the driver behind the wheel both blown away in a hail of gunfire. Then it detonated, killing the two Marines and leveling a city a block.

The attack, the Marines’ final stand, and their sacrifice all took place in a matter of seconds.

Haerter and Yale, were posthumously awarded the Navy Cross for their actions, which were later recounted by Iraqi police present that day and captured on a security camera, according to Business Insider.

Before that day, Yale and Haerter had never met. They came from different backgrounds and deployed with different units, with Yale preparing to head home with the rest of 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, and Haerter just beginning his seven-month tour with 1st Battalion, 9th Marines. But their final act of courage, defiance, and selfless sacrifice bound the two together forever.

According to a 2009 CBS News report, 21-year-old Yale had a rough upbringing in Virginia, and Haerter, who was 19 when he was killed, came from a middle-class family in Long Island, New York. If it wasn’t for the Marines, it’s likely that the two never would have met.

But, they did meet and that same day they made a split-second decision to stand, fight, and ultimately die together.

Shortly after the attack, Gen. John Kelly, the commander of all American and Iraqi forces at the time, met with those present that day, which he later described in a speech at the Semper Fi Society of St. Louis, Missouri, published by Business Insider.

“By all reports and by the recording, they never stepped back. They never even started to step aside,” Kelly said in the speech. “They never even shifted their weight. With their feet spread shoulder width apart, they leaned into the danger, firing as fast as they could work their weapons. … Not enough time to think about their families, their country, their flag, or about their lives or their deaths, but more than enough time for two very brave young men to do their duty … into eternity. That is the kind of people who are on watch all over the world tonight — for you.”

My husband was there that day. He just so happened to be at a different check point. He felt the blast, many Marines did. I think of these two brave Marines often. They did not run, they didn't stand down, they stood their ground and their actions saved countless other lives.

There are so many to remember today.

Lance Cpl. Guillermo S. Perez – Rifleman, Bravo Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 15th MEU (New Braunfels, TX)

Pfc. Bryan J. Baltierra – Rifleman (Corona, CA)

Lance Cpl. Marco A. Barranco – Rifleman (Montebello, CA)

Pfc. Evan A. Bath – Rifleman (Oak Creek, WI)

U.S. Navy Hospitalman Christopher Gnem – Hospital corpsman (Stockton, CA)

Pfc. Jack Ryan Ostrovsky – Rifleman (Bend, OR)

Cpl. Wesley A. Rodd – Rifleman (Harris, TX)

Lance Cpl. Chase D. Sweetwood – Rifleman (Portland, OR)

Cpl. Cesar A. Villanueva – Rifleman (Riverside, CA)

This guy just hit 20 years today. I didn't even realize nor remember the date until Facebook reminded me. 20 whole years of olive green, boots, covers, awards, medals, plaques, red and gold, memories, heartbreak, unimaginable loss, so many deployments, one or two no good terrible bosses, move after move, workups, more deployments, saying see you later, missed birthdays - anniversaries - funerals - time with family in Louisiana, welcome homes, not taking a single moment for granted, meeting the most incredible people ever, friends that became family, learning to forgive easier, appreciating each other and growing older together.

There were times I didn't know if he'd make it back. He did, but each time he returned a piece of him didn't. I bought a greenhouse a while back for my tortoises. I didn't have a plan per say but wanted them out of my kitchen. Now he comes home every day after work and instead of turning on the government laptop and connecting the extra screen he goes into the green house and checks on his new found hobby.

I love this man I get to call my husband. I am so incredibly proud of him and the career he made/earned/eventually no longer wanted. He'll be turning in papers real soon. The countdown begins now. I can't wait for this new chapter.

Four years of marriage means four years of loving, forgiving, moving, praying, living, caring and growing with one another. Wishing for a lifetime of more like the last four.
