This wedding was such a beautiful experience. Every detail was intentional and meaningful to this sweet couple. It was truly a celebration of the bride and groom committing to each other and every person there couldn’t say enough about these two and their character. I was so honored to capture Gabe and Marta’s big day! I can’t wait to share their day with you all!! 💐👰🏻‍♀️

This summer has truly been hot so I decided Summer Minis were a good idea!😅

These are perfect for a family update with a summer feel to your photos! Light colors, open field, big trees… all things summer.🌻🍃

A few tips before your session👇🏻
1. bring water
2. bring cool cloths
3. Bring a small fan for the little ones
4. Bring fruit! Watermelon or strawberries make a great watery snack and even sweet for photos.🍓🍉
5. For you adventurers out there, bring out the water guns🔫💦

This week I’ve been sharing some tips of how to prepare for your Newborn Session! If you haven’t yet, click on the link in my profile to check out my blog post full of helpful things you may not have thought about. 👍🏻

It will help you be more prepared so when it’s time for me to come photograph your growing family, you just get to relax and enjoy these moments! One thing I love about any session is that it slows your mind down and causes you to reflect on the ones you love and nurture each day. The ones you feed and tend to. The ones who love you more than you’ll ever know. Sessions are a moment when you just get to stop and soak in all the love around you. Remembering it’s all worth it. Knowing they need you more than a cooked meal. They need your love and comfort. Just knowing you’re cheering them on to give them that extra boost. The beauty of it is, you aren’t the one taking the pictures. You’re in them. It’s not just about your beautiful children. But it’s about you and your hubby being in the photos to remember why you do what you do. Why you work so hard and that your efforts are well worth while. 💛

Summer has truly greeted us with its blazing sunshine, buzzing wasps, and beautiful blooms.☀️🐝🌸

Morning sessions are best for summertime.🙌🏻

A few tips for a morning session:

• drink water the day before your session and the morning of to make sure you’re hydrated (bring water with you too)

•make sure you eat before you come! I don’t want anyone fainting on my watch!😉

• bring a cold cloth if you know you sweat easily

• if you have kiddos, make sure they have happy bellies and even bring some snacks for when I shoot some photos of just mom and dad

Yesterday morning was the most beautiful setting for this special maternity session.🌿 So happy for these two!! 💛 It’s been such an honor watching these two grow as individuals, fall in love, get married and walk through life together. They are going to be amazing parents! This sweet boy is already so loved.👶🏻 Can’t wait to share more of this session with you!

There’s nothing like a good ole family vacation!🗺🚙 Amiright?!👋🏻
I’m any form of a trip just to take a step back, go somewhere new, discover new foods, make new memories… it is worth it! Even if it’s an overnight stay an hour out of town, it gives you some time to enjoy your family and maybe get a little rest.

Is anyone planning a trip right now?! Summer is basically here and it is just inviting us to get out and explore somewhere new!🌵☀️

Just for fun, here is a fun tip in taking a road trip with kids:
- hit the dollar section at Target and pack up some surprises for them. After an hour or so (maybe when they ask “are we there yet”) 😬 pull out the first surprise! Once they realize they keep getting more, they get super excited about the next one. It definitely keeps them entertained for hours! 👍🏻

My why.
Motherhood is filled with many tasks. If it’s a morning you don’t wake up before your kids, it seems you are pouring out before you step out of bed. Feeding bellies, mending wounds, wiping tears, tickling toes, reading stories, teaching principles and what’s important… these moments can all blur into each other as we hardly sit down, continue our chores and errands to take care of our family as best we can.

This is my why. You. You are my why. There is value in what you do as a mother that cannot be counted. It’s in the everyday things we do to pour into our children that all add up to motherhood. These moments you share with your family are precious, whether it’s in the big things or the small things. I want to capture these simple, everyday moments that soon will pass by. This season of your life. This important season you are in, loving your family and caring for them. It’s more than a photo to put on a wall or to fill your feed. It is moments captured to help you reflect on just how beautiful motherhood is. To remind you that what you do is important. And even though it may seem unseen, it’s valuable. It’s the tiny victories when your child repeats something you’ve been teaching them. Seeing them mimic what you do because you are an example to them.

There’s something so timeless about black and whites! I love using them when the moment is intimate, beautiful details or conveys emotion. I believe so much in capturing mom and dad together in a family session! The ones who love hard, work hard and pray hard behind the scenes deserve some beautiful photos of themselves just for them! Amiright?!👋🏻

I hope your weekend is full of love, rest and refreshing! Do something for yourself this weekend to fill your creative cup. ☕️ Whether it’s taking photos of your kids, creating a collage of beautiful paper, photos, fabric, sew a simple project, repaint something you’ve been wanting to give new life to… whatever it may be! What’s stopping you from documenting life? My family loves looking back on photos and videos from when the boys were babies! As they grow older I still have to remember to pic up my phone or camera and document just how cute they are. Their little phrases they say or how they’re loving on each other, I just don’t want to forget. So I encourage you and myself, document these moments. Even if it’s the simple everyday ones… those are the best! They are worth documenting. And then one day years from now, you’ll be glad you took the time to take that photo or video of your family. You can look back together and have those memories they may not have seen if you hadn’t have documented them.🌿

Being a mother is something unlike anything else. There’s a certain kind of love you’ve never known until you become a mother. It is such a joy photographing moms in whatever stage of motherhood they are in! Whether an expectant mother, a new mother, chasing toddlers mother or watching your kids grow taller than you mother. ☺️

In this maternity session I just had to snap some photos of this beautiful expectant mother without the belly being the center of the photo. I took so many of her sweet baby bump but while I was doing that, I realized I wanted to just capture her in this moment. Just her. The excitement on her face just says it all and I love it! 💛
