I thought this session was especially sweet because my client booked it for her mom while her mom was visiting. She wanted her mom to have photos with her granddaughters, and I just thought that was such a thoughtful thing to do.

We got some beautiful photos of Grandma with the girls, and of course we had to pull Mom into a couple too. These are the kinds of photos that become even more meaningful as the years go by.

Every year, I look forward to photographing families at The Pearl once it’s all decorated for Christmas. 🎄

We wander through The Pearl, stopping at all my favorite Christmas spots, and finish at the giant, live Christmas tree. Along the way there are plenty of moments for the whole family to explore, laugh, and just be themselves.

Today’s mini session spotlight is one of my favorites every single year!

I wanted these sessions to feel like more than just a quick photo with Santa. From the moment your child walks up, Santa already knows their name and spends time talking with them, asking about their Christmas wishes, turning the pages of The Night Before Christmas together, sharing a few laughs, and letting them choose a treat from Santa’s gift bag before sending them off with a hug or high five.

It’s such a sweet experience to watch, and some of my favorite photos with genuine smiles happen during these little moments. Whether your child is excited to chat with Santa or a little shy at first, he always has a way of making them feel comfortable.
