One thing I’ll always respect is seeing somebody really hustle for what they’re building. 🖤✨

I’ve seen the long days, the constant grind, the dedication, the effort behind and it’s really dope watching somebody stay consistent with their craft and continue growing. It’s more than just hair…she genuinely cares about making people feel confident when they leave her chair and you can tell she takes pride in what she does.

Something about senior sessions always feels a little surreal to me because you can tell someone is standing right at the edge of their life changing. Not in a dramatic movie scene kind of way…just in the quiet real-life way.

One minute it’s extra curricular activities, late assignments, driving around with friends, living at home, and being a kid without realizing you’re still a kid. Then suddenly everyone’s asking what your plans are, where you’re headed, what comes next.

I think that’s why I care less about making photos look perfect and more about making them feel honest. The boots, the hat, the attitude, the way someone naturally carries themselves….that’s the stuff that matters later. That’s the stuff people come back to years from now and recognize instantly.

Not just ‘this is what I looked like.’

More like,
‘this is exactly who I was before life started moving really fast’.

These sessions are never really about the dresses or the photos.

They’re about freezing a version of life that’s changing in real time.

Because one day the daughter in the photo will notice she smiles like her mom.
Laughs like her.
Stands like her.
Handles life like her.

And the mom will realize the little girl she was raising became someone she’d actually be friends with too.

That’s the part that gets me every time.

There’s something really beautiful about watching daughters slowly become reflections of the women who raised them the confidence, the softness, the attitude, the mannerisms.

Not in a cliché “mini me” kind of way.

In a “someone loved me enough to shape the way I move through the world” kind of way.

These are the kinds of photos that hit harder years from now.🤍
