A Message From your photographer Margo ❤️
I don’t normally make posts like this, but I wanted to take a moment to be honest and transparent with everyone. It’s been hard with all my equipment malfunctions.
Behind Blazed Lens Photography is just one person—me.
I’m the photographer, editor, scheduler, marketer, customer service representative, and everything in between. While I absolutely love what I do, I think it’s important to remind people that I’m not a large company with a team behind me. I’m a small business owner, a wife, and a mom doing my best to balance it all.
For the last 7 years, I have poured my heart into this business. I’ve spent countless late nights editing, weekends shooting events, and hours making sure every gallery is delivered with care and attention to detail. I love preserving memories, and I take that responsibility seriously.
At the same time, I have a family that depends on me.
My son has autism and ADHD and attends therapies, appointments, and activities that require my time and support. My other children are involved in travel club soccer, school activities, practices, games, and tournaments, and because my husband owns and operates a business as well, I am often the one responsible for getting everyone where they need to be.
Like many parents, my days don’t end when work ends.
Graduation season is always my busiest season as a photographer, and this year it was especially challenging because it was also my own daughter’s senior year. Between prom, signing day, senior walks, graduation activities, award ceremonies, soccer events, and preparing her for college, I was trying to balance being present for my family while also serving my clients.
It was a season filled with excitement, pride, stress, and emotions. While I was capturing these milestones for so many families, I was also living through them with my own daughter.
On top of that, life decided to throw a few extra challenges my way. I’ve dealt with equipment issues, a broken camera, a phone that fell in water and locked me out of important accounts, computer issues, stomach viruses, colds, sick kids, and all the unexpected things that come with life.
Despite all of that, I continued showing up.
I continued photographing sessions.
I continued answering messages.
I continued editing galleries.
And I continued working hard to make sure my clients received the memories they trusted me to capture.
When I tell you I have your photos, I truly do have them.
Please know that I am never ignoring you, avoiding you, or forgetting about your gallery. I am simply working through sessions as quickly as I can while maintaining the quality that my clients deserve.
One thing many of my clients already know is that I don’t believe in giving the bare minimum. Anyone who has ever booked a session with me knows that I take pride in delivering high-quality images and often far more photos than expected because I want my clients to have plenty of memories to choose from. I genuinely care about every gallery I deliver, and that’s one of the reasons editing takes time.
I’d rather take a little longer and provide a gallery that exceeds expectations than rush through it and deliver something I’m not proud of.
What I ask for is patience, understanding, and grace.
I promise that if you trusted me with your memories, they matter to me. I am working hard to deliver images that you and your family will cherish for years to come.
I’ve built this business over the last seven years, and I want to continue doing what I love. All I ask is that people remember there is a real person behind the camera—someone balancing family, life, challenges, and a business all at the same time.
To those who have supported me, encouraged me, referred me, and shown patience during this busy season, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness means more than you know.
❤️ Thank you for supporting a small business.
❤️ Thank you for supporting a hardworking mom.
❤️ Thank you for supporting Blazed Lens Photography.
Your memories are important to me, and they’re worth taking the time to do right.
