San Antonio is such a gift for maternity sessions because you can get so many different looks without leaving the area. Soft fields, old stone bridges, romantic city streets, garden paths, river views, oak trees, historic homes, wildflowers, and water, it’s all here. Is it just me or can finding -good- kids stores to shop at with cute baby clothes in San Antonio sometimes be a struggle? Well friend, hit SAVE and come back to this later when you’re ready to do some shopping!! I usually end up just hopping on Amazon, buying something that’s “eh”, and calling it a day. But thanks to local mamas that I polled, I’ve found some CUTE San Antonio area baby stores that are equally adorable and FUN to shop at. Even though I’ve lived in San Antonio for 3 years now, I still find myself looking for new small businesses to support, and these ones definitely hit the nail on the head.

Choose a palette that works with your home, coordinate without matching too closely, and let everyone feel like themselves. When the clothes are easy, the session feels easier too. And that’s when the sweetest images happen.

I don’t get invited in to document Fresh 48 newborn sessions often, but it’s even more special after a homebirth. ✨ There’s a peace and stillness in the home after the monumental, life altering event that has taken place in the last two days. Birth leaves no mama the same regardless of where she births. Mama still in diapers, resting in bed in jammie’s. These sessions are for the one not looking for perfection but for truthful remembering oh the most raw & tender days of her life 🕊️
