For over a month, I carried this vision in my head.
I wanted to create something different. Something dreamy. Something that felt like it belonged in the pages of a fashion magazine.
My daughter Ellyn became the muse behind this project. I designed the concept, styled the wardrobe, planned the hair and makeup, and brought this vision to life. Watching her step in front of the camera and fully embrace the experience was incredibly special. For the first time, she truly felt like a high-end fashion model.
The final images are a reminder that creativity doesn’t always require expensive props or elaborate sets. Sometimes it simply takes imagination, a vision, and the courage to create.
I even learned a few things along the way. The smoke effect I originally planned didn’t work quite as expected, so I improvised using white fiber usually meant for snow and finished the atmosphere during post-production. As artists, we adapt, problem-solve, and keep creating.
This is only the beginning. Two more editorial looks from this series are coming soon, and I’ll also be sharing a behind-the-scenes video so you can see exactly how this set was created.
