BPA is the No.1-ranked Career & Technical Education Student Organization in the country! I founded our Dobie Distinguished Diplomats Chapter in August 2007 and we have had CityRegional, State and National Champions every year! In the 2008-2009 Conference competitions, Paul Mannie III and Keiko Harris, were recognized by the Austin ISD School Board; as well as, Senator Kirk Watson, during the 81st
Legislative session! This year we will be sending two (2) members, Shaquinda Solomon and Mark Joseph, to compete as the Texas Champions...1st and 2nd Place, respectively, in the Extemporaneous Speaking Competitions, in Washington, D.C.! Of our current active 15 members who competed at the State Leadership Conference, twelve (12) earned State Champion Awards! Unfortunately, district budget constraints will only support 1st and 2nd place winners....the other 10 members can't afford to attend. In fact, only one Advisor will be funded...so, I won't be able to go either, unless we are able to find funds to support us ! Please send any donations or help to me at J.
