It’s hard to believe this was already a year ago! So much has changed and we’re crazy happy in San Antonio—but miss our Wy{home}ing friends and family! 😊 Much love Gillette!!! ❤️
To my Hazelet Photography friends and family, please take a minute to read (sorry, it’s long but worth it!).
There’s a song by Thomas Rhett that I love, called “Life Changes”. A few of my favorite lines from the song are these:
“You never know what’s gonna happen.
You make your plans and hear God laughing.
Life changes, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
When we first launched Hazelet Photography in the fall of 2010 (exactly 10 years ago!), I had dreams of doing photography in Gillette until the day I retired—and beyond! This past decade I’ve poured everything into making HP what it is today. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and about everything in between on this journey with many of you.
It’s very bittersweet to announce my husband has accepted a job in San Antonio, TX and we will be leaving our wonderful little town of Gillette soon. It’s not a decision we have come to lightly. We’ve shed a lot of tears at the thought of leaving this place we’ve called home, the place where we’ve spent our entire married life, the place we’ve brought two beautiful babies into, the place where we still have extended family, and the place where we have many friends we love like family. But we are completely at peace and know this is the right move for our family. Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Clients with sessions scheduled for the coming weeks and months have already been contacted. With the exception of just a couple of sessions right around the corner, we will be wrapping up everything in the next few weeks and refunds will be issued to clients on sessions we aren’t able to accommodate before we leave.
Clients who wish to place a final order on any past sessions before we’re gone can do so—but all orders need to be received absolutely no later than September 14th. I’m offering 25% off all final orders (discount valid only on sessions that took place prior to July 1st).
There will be some details to work out with closing a business we’ve been running for a decade and we appreciate your patience in our upcoming last few weeks here. Please feel free to message me with any concerns or questions you may have about your sessions or orders. We’ll get you all taken care of before we go ☺
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for an amazing 10 years in Gillette. Thank you to everyone who took a chance on this girl who really didn’t know what she was doing in the beginning. Thank you for all the memories, special occasions, tears and laughs you’ve trusted me to capture. I’m forever thankful for your support of our small business ❤️
