It's been too long since I've posted some of my sessions here but I wanted to post a few on Senior Sunday today before graduation gets too far behind us! One of the most important parts of a session actually is independent of the technial side of photography but is an art nonetheless-- and that is to help build confidence in the senior and help them to feel comfortable showing themselves and the many sides of their personality. It may take some time in the beginning of the session and I don't rush it. It is so rewarding and fun for me to see a transformation from the beginning of the session to the end-- they usually start off a little timid with most of them not having any kind of photographing or posing experience-- to them practically becoming a super star be the end of the session! As they start to relax and feel comfortable, I get to know them a little better and get a feel for how to help them shine. They are usually so grateful, proud, and sometimes suprised for being able to "bring it". It's not easy to bring it and I don't think I could do what I'm asking them to do, but I'm always impressed and inspired at how confident, beautiful, and full of life these kids are! I truly come to have a love for them and their parents through the whole process and absolutely love being a part of this special time of their life and creating something they will cherish forever!
