What a beautiful way to celebrate a love story. đŸ€

From their engagement session to the celebration that followed, this day was filled with so much beauty, color, tradition, and joy. She was absolutely stunning, and every person in the room seemed to radiate the same kind of warmth.

But what I’ll remember most isn’t just how beautiful everything was, it’s how genuinely kind and welcoming this family was to us. They made us feel like we belonged there, and that means more than they probably realize.

I have so much love and respect for the traditions and culture that made this celebration so special. What an honor it was to document even a small part of it. đŸ€

Congratulations, Fatima & Issa. Your celebration was as beautiful as the people in it. ✹

Some couples want their wedding day perfectly planned. Claire and Cody just wanted to be present. đŸ€

Claire’s biggest goal was to spend the day fully in it with Cody—to laugh, dance, soak it all in, and not miss the people and moments happening around them. She asked me to document as much as possible so she could look back later and see all the things she may not have seen while living it.

And that’s exactly what we did. The laughter, the reactions, the ridiculous moments, the people they love most. đŸ„č

They were completely themselves all day, trusted us fully, and treated us like family from the moment we arrived.

These are our kind of people. đŸ€

A little unexpected 2026 announcement
 đŸ€

We intentionally limit ourselves to 12 weddings each year so we can give every couple the time and attention their story deserves.

We had our 12 booked for 2026, but one wedding date recently opened back up— leaving us with a few unexpected dates available.

So we’re opening those dates to a few couples still looking for photography OR videography.

Because these dates opened unexpectedly, we’re offering a special one-time collection for them that won’t be part of our regular 2026 offerings.

Message us for the available dates + details.

POV: You think your photographer just takes the pictures.

You see the camera.
You see the photos.
You see the final gallery.

What you don’t see is everything in between.

You don’t see the hours spent culling hundreds or thousands of images.

You don’t see us sitting at our computers, hand-editing photographs instead of throwing a filter over an entire gallery and calling it finished.

You don’t see us obsessing over skin tones, color, lighting, distractions, consistency, and all the tiny details that most people will never consciously notice.

You don’t see the backups.
The organization.
The exporting.
The uploading.
The emails.
The timelines.
The education.
The business expenses.
The gear.
The late nights.

And you definitely don’t see the sacrifices.

Time away from our families.
Weekends spent working.
Thousands of dollars reinvested into our businesses.
Constantly learning and improving because our name is attached to every image we deliver.

So when someone asks, “Why does it take four weeks? Someone else can have them back in two days.”

I understand the question.

But I think the photography industry has created an expectation that professional photography should be cheap, immediate, and effortless.

And that’s simply not how every photographer operates.

Some photographers deliver extremely quickly. That’s their business model, and that’s okay.

But there are also photographers who take the time to intentionally create something.

Who hand-edit.

Who care about consistency.

Who refuse to send a gallery until they are genuinely proud of what they’re putting their name on.

Fast doesn’t automatically mean better. And a longer turnaround doesn’t mean your photographer doesn’t care.

Sometimes it means the exact opposite.

It means they’re taking the time to care.

When you hire a photographer, you’re not just paying for the hours they’re holding a camera.

You’re paying for the years it took to develop the skill, the equipment, the education, the experience, the editing, the business, and all of the invisible hours you never see.

There is so much more behind a finished photograph than the photograph itself.

With love-

We didn’t have to create the story.

It was already happening.

Our first real introduction to Bryston was one we definitely won’t forget.

We were one of the first ones there, unloading our gear, when a truck came barreling in with loud hype music blasting.

We looked at each other and said, “Dang
that must be one crazy late groomsman.” 😂

Nope.

Bryston.

He hopped out, walked right up to us, apologized, and introduced himself as the groom. 😂

Honestly? Iconic.

And somehow, it ended up being the perfect introduction to the day.

Because from there, everything just unfolded.

The way Bryston looked at Danielle.
The way she laughed with him.
The quiet moments.
The absolute chaos.
The tears.
The dancing.
The people who showed up to celebrate them.

And two people who were very clearly, very deeply in love.

Some couples give you beautiful photographs.

Some couples give you a whole story.

These two gave us both. đŸ€

We got to capture the pretty things, the in-between things, the moments that felt like a movie, and the moments that were just completely, unapologetically them.

And that’s our favorite kind of wedding day.

Not perfect.

Not staged.

Just real, wildly fun, completely in love, and full of moments worth remembering.

A little first look at Danielle & Bryston’s wedding story. đŸ€

And this is only the beginning.

One day, this will be the part they miss.

Not the perfectly posed photo.

The way Dad held him up while Mom reached for his little feet.
The way he laughed on the grass.
The tiny hands. The bare feet. The ridiculous little toy car.
The way they loved each other without ever thinking about the camera.

This is what I mean when I say I photograph your story.

I don’t want to give you photos that simply prove you were all there.

I want to give you the moments you’ll recognize years from now.

So I’m opening 3 Family Story Sessions for a limited time.

$325 ‱ 30–40 minutes ‱ 25 images

For families who want photographs that feel like them, not a Pinterest pose.

3 spots. That’s it.

If you’ve been saying “we really need family photos,” this is your sign.

Real laughs.
Tiny details.
Nothing forced.

Just a family being exactly who they are.

And honestly

that’s my favorite kind of story.

We recently celebrated THE Grandma Waibel turning 90 years old. đŸ€

We asked her to share her best advice, and then told her story the best way we knew how.

But here’s what makes this even more special

Every old photo you see was taken by Grandpa Waibel and developed by hand in a darkroom. These aren’t just old photographs. They’re moments he saw worth holding onto forever.

Ninety years of a beautiful life, a beautiful marriage, and a legacy that’s still being passed down.

Happy 90th Birthday, Grandma!
