Award-winning photography team in San Antonio, Texas Hey there! Thanks for taking time to check out our page! We go waaaay back. We're more like sisters, really.

We are Jenn & Kaylinn of Bend the Light Photography (www.BendTheLightPhotography.com). We can't remember when we met (our moms tell us it was in the church nursery). At one time or another, we've been classmates, roommates, band mates, travel mates, and best friends. We've been wedding and portrait photographers for over 10 years, and our individual perspectives make us a great team. Jenn is our l

ead photographer. From the small details to the big moments, she will capture timeless images that tell your story. Kaylinn is our studio manager. From your first email, she will respond promptly, answer every question, and give advice about your wedding or photo session. She is here to make your photography experience fun and easy -- the way it should be! Think of her as your personal photography concierge. :)

"What should we wear to our session?" 👈 We get asked this a lot!

Here are a few tips: Stick to your own personal style, but rev it up a notch. If you like color, wear something BOLD! If you love patterns and accessories, go for it! If you're a jeans and T-shirt kind of couple, wear jeans, but maybe throw a fun pair of boots or high heels in the mix and pick out the cutest striped shirt you can find. If you like muted colors, keep it simple.

These photos will be hanging on your walls for years to come, so the two most important rules are (1) Have fun! and (2) Be yourself!

Getting hitched anytime soon? Here's a helpful tip: Do a "practice run" (aka: an engagement session!) You've chosen the person you want to spend the REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH!! Hellooooo! That's kiiiiind of a big deal! This moment in time deserves to be documented!

Hi, I'm Kaylinn! I'm a to-do list lover and excel-sheet expert, and I secretly love Mondays! But I gotta keep it real, I don't rarely look this cute when I work... As I type this, I'm rockin' a messy bun, nerd glasses, and no makeup. The ONLY reason I'm wearing jeans is because I just bought a new pair and I want to see if they stretch out too much before I actually remove the tags. 😂 -Kaylinn

We've been shooting a ton of newborn sessions lately, and one of the most common questions new parents ask is "When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
We recommend taking newborn photos within 15 days of your baby’s birth. It’s best to book several weeks before your baby arrives so that we can leave space on our calendar for the session. If at all possible, we ask that you let us know your baby is here within 3 days of delivery. This will help to ensure that we’ll be able to photograph your baby during the ideal 15-day window!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
