My 1st attempt at capturing the ISS transiting the sun.

The centerline was about 5 miles from my house and I was able to hit it on the way home from work yesterday.

The whole thing occurred in about 1.6 seconds.

I captured it with my Coronado Solarmax 90; which is a telescope for observing the sun in Hydrogen Alpha light.

My camera was a monochrome astro camera. The gaps in the path are due to my laptop not being fast enough to capture all frames the camera was able to take so I had a bunch of dropped frames.

The video is 1st and the transit is towards the end of the video.

I then extracted the 14 frames that had the ISS (and by happenstance a bird) and stacked them in StarStax. Then processed in Photoshop.

The ISS was very small (26 arcseconds) and doesn't show a lot of detail, but you can make out the basic shape, and even notice how the orientation changes during the transit.

For a 1st try, I'm happy with the results.
