Since this issue dropped I’ve just been trying to let it sink in that these pictures now exist in print. A year ago I told a friend I had some extra time this one weekend and little did I know that this weekend would set me on an entirely different path. ESJ was the start of Ojo, and since then I’ve had the privilege to work with and for organizations and individuals focused on community. Showcasing those in our city that give their all to uplift and amplify our brothers and sisters.

Reclaiming space as a q***r woman of color is a never ending journey. Being part of an issue dedicated to the very action is an honor, and capturing someone who demands hers was even greater.

I couldn’t be more ecstatic to be a part of the collaborators for this issue. Printed versions have sold out, but digital copies are still available✨
