Frances Remo is a fine art wedding and portrait photographer from San Angelo, Texas whose passion is turning milestones, experiences, stories, and even mundane and endless routines in life into art through every photo. Equipped with a genuine purpose to record human experiences as a vivid backup to fading memories, she seeks to go beyond taking high-quality photographs and believes in documenting
memories worth looking back to as her clients go through various seasons of their lives. She currently serves to photograph couples, individuals, and families, who share the same intention of capturing the real beauty and genuineness of their relationship with each other and with themselves. Born and raised in the Philippines, she learned to embrace the virtue of keeping colorful traditions alive with stories being told through photographs. Celebrations such as fiestas, weddings, birthdays, graduations, family reunions, summer vacations, and even just lounging around their house were documented through her mother’s camera. She continued on capturing images with her classmates, still using her mother’s camera, knowing that the photos will serve as good stories to tell in the future. However, growing up in an Asian household with high expectations, she was encouraged to take the stable route of working in the medical field despite having a passion for the arts. She moved from their home country, the Philippines, to her newfound home, Texas, to work as a physical therapist. Having finally fulfilled her family’s wishes, she decided to aim for her own dream and reconnect with the arts. She pursued what she had always been wanting, fine art photography. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Philippines - Manila. She trained under world-class and top fine art photographer in the industry, D’Arcy Benincosa.
