It’s been a while since I’ve posted one of my images, but this one is getting me going again.

I not only took photos for all of the teams this year, I also helped out both the boys and girls water polo teams as a goalie coach.

At the first game for the girls team, I asked a brand new goalie of ours to do some basic warmup drills to see what she could do, and was I wowed by her ability to reach any spot in the cage with little effort needed. Then I saw her play, and she never flinched. She just stepped up and did her job with incredible instincts!

I told this kid was gonna be an impressive part of this team, and she sure was!

saved the day a number of times this season where our team went 25-2 with league and district wins and 3rd place at state! And on top of that, Keira was selected for 2nd team all league and was the Defensive Player of the Tournament at State!

And we get her back for her senior year! More pics to come from this season, but I had to share this one of Keira hitting a corner to stop a shot.

Details. I always love the details, especially when it comes to water sports.

The classic breastroke pic is a smooth bubble when the swimmer comes out of the water, but there’s also something about that contrast of the sharp water flowing.
