Happy Mother’s Day friends 💕 To all my mom friends in whatever stage of motherhood you’re in, I’ve never been around a mom I haven’t learned something from, and I love getting to capture pictures of mom’s being moms. And to all of my friends missing their moms, my moms missing their babies & my moms wishing & fighting for their babies 💕 I’m sending extra love your way! I know Mother’s Day isn’t easy for many. All women have an impact and I’m so grateful for all of you that have impacted me 💕 (Special shout out to my gem of a mom, on her first Mother’s Day as a grandma, it doesn’t get better than her.)

Life changes 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just in the last 2 or 3 weeks so many doors have been opened for me! Ive got a lot going on the next few months and I’ll be taking even less sessions this year than last. However I think I’ll be offering mini sessions this year for the first time ever! Most likely at this location, which is one of my favorites! (For my photo friends here, It’s private property and requires permission from both owners, I’ve been asked not to share the location because they’ve had issues with photographers in the past.) Anyway, look out for those dates in the future. Most likely I’ll open one day in June/July and one in October. If you’re not aware of mini sessions, it’s 15-20 minute sessions back to back at one location. They’re perfect if you just need a few shots and are about 100$ less than full sessions. Other than these mini’s, I’ll take just a few sessions this summer and a few sessions this fall stopping again at October. I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported me in the past! I’ve loved taking pictures and I hope to always offer at least a few sessions a year. No matter where I’m at in life!

I’ve been so bad at posting from my sessions this year 😅 which is awful because there are so many good sessions to share from!! I’ve been thinking hard on what I’ll be doing next year. I don’t think I’ll quit, especially after managing “busy season” this year, I feel like it’s more manageable than ever. There will definitely be more changes implemented, specifically capping sessions per month, but I just love snapping shots like this so much to give it up for good 😍😍😍

Summer family pictures are superior 😜I rest my case. These are the kind of shots I live for 🤍 so simple, but the ones I know will be so valued in 20 years. I've found moms are hesitant to get in the pictures, their kids are what they want pictures of, and a lot of us struggle with confidence, I've hated pictures for years! But I hope you'll get in a few, whether that's completely, just a close up of you holding your baby, or even a snap of your baby holding onto your finger. Show up in whatever way you can! I promise though you might think you just want pictures of your baby, your connection is something you'll wish you'd captured in 20 years, it's what your kids will want captured.

The first day of school used to be my least favorite day of the year, now I throw a party 😂 Last Monday I made a point to recognize throughout the day that I wasn't in school. I remember being in school and thinking about all the people who took it for granted. Not me. It's been years and still, I'm just SO GRATEFUL TO BE DONE. It's the little things ✊🏻 I might not have everything, but I don't have school and that's a major win haha.
