I have yet to have a family session where the kids don’t just want to run and play and explore all that the water, dirt and trees have waiting to be discovered. Letting kids lead with their curiosity and magical energy is exactly what makes these sessions fun, relaxed, and honest. And the moments I get to capture for my families make this “job” an incredibly special creative expression for me.

The other day I had a mama tell me that they were going to arrive at our shoot 20 minutes early so their littles could “run their wiggles out” before our session started.

Immediately I was like hooooold up my friend. 🙅🏼‍♀️ That’s exactly what I want to capture!

I don’t want to ask your kids to sit still and smile for the camera. I want them to run, dance in the fields, explore, bring me the coolest rocks they can find, sword fight each other with sticks…just be the amazing, curious, energetic kids that they are.

Those are the moments that we’ll turn into meaning. Moments that you’ll be able to look back on in a quieter season of life and say “Ahhh those were the days.”

So please mamas, don’t work on running out your kids’ wiggles before your session with me. Bring me allll the wiggles and let me turn them into art for you.

The light gets richer, the green starts to peek out, and the mountain tops are still capped with snow. Daylight savings…whether you love it or hate it, for me, it always feels like a time of shift in the best way possible.

I'm refreshing my portfolio and I'm in need of four amazing families who are willing to model for me in exchange for a completely free photo session! I've put together four beautiful concepts that I'm so excited to shoot. These will all be fine art, documentary-style photographs with the intent to capture real, intimate moments between you and your people.

All families will receive:
- A full free photo session with me ($500 value)
- 5 artistically edited digital images
- The option to purchase your entire gallery
- Styling guidance

All sessions will take place in Weber, Davis or Salt Lake counties. All models must be willing to follow my outfit guidance and consent to Brittany Clifton Photography LLC using your images for social media and promotional purposes.

The youngest child + the only boy? I’m sure this little guy isn’t spoiled in the slightest. 😆

I love the beautiful light and landscape at Antelope Island. But did you know that in the warmer months, it gets overrun by spiders and little biting gnats? It’s impossible to shoot out there during most of the year! Since this year in Utah has been especially warm, our window for shooting at this beautiful location might be even shorter than normal.
