Mario Reeve: I’ve always been fascinated by imagery, art and photography. I just never had the time to learn the “art” of taking pictures. I began with simple point and shoots and progressed to a Canon Digital SLR, but still lacked the refined techniques necessary to take what I saw in my mind and capture it on “film.” You can see this is many of the early photos I posted. As green as I was, I wa

s afforded the opportunity to take pictures of some great people, in some great settings. I recently upgraded my equipment and have begun in earnest to study this wonderful media. My favorite shots are of individuals in a casual setting (one-on-one photography). I also enjoy live action events and am slowly moving into landscape and formal portraiture. It’s a love and not a business… but may be open to expanding my horizons to offset the cost of equipment and time. For now I get a smile on my face when I can capture the moment in just the right manner.

How cool is this? Nine months ago, this young man escaped his country amidst very dangerous and uncertain circumstances. A wonderful family took him in to help during his transition. This week he graduates from an American High School and I was honored to capture these moments. He amazes me with his perseverance and easy-going attitude. I wish him the very best of luck in the future!!
