Due to the massive windstorm in SLC, I've had no WiFi since Tuesday morning. This kind and beautiful woman, has generously welcomed me and my laptop in her home. She's offered me food, friendship, a workstation, and even her DVD player and DVD's so my kids would be entertained while Hulu and Netflix aren't an option. She is one of so many people that have come together to be great friends and neighbors during this time. I'm lucky to have power since many of my neighbors still do not and have massive, 100 year old trees still down in their yard. Thank you to those who are going out of their way to set up charging stations for people, helping to cleanup, move trees, check in on one another. You, like D’Arcy, are sunshine.

Bring your daughters to work day! It’s rare that my girls get to come along and help at a shoot, but occasionally when I do commercial work, they get to come home a reflector like they did at this shoot for I feel so blessed to be able to shoot for the designer . Sometimes I can’t believe I’ve been shooting weddings for 12 years! This photo was from a wedding 7 years ago and I remember it just as well as I do the one that I shot last night. One photo and everything rushes back in such detail. I love that.

The best macadamia crusted fish I’ve ever had in my life at this beautiful Kauai wedding. But my favorite thing about Dan and Portia’s day was that all of their guests fit at those 4 tables there. No acquaintances or parents friends that they barely know. When they raised their glasses and gave their toasts it was the people most dear to them in the world that were looking back at them, shedding tears because they love them wholeheartedly. I love that that’s who they see when they look back at their wedding photos.
