Two years ago, we went on a grand adventure to Hawaii for six weeks.

I feel as though I grew as a photographer creating with different people and different nature color pallets. The time I spent there inspired me to create softer and more meaningful art here at home 🌫️

I care about your experience on your wedding day.

I care about teaching you how to feel peace and joy while not falling for the narrative that weddings are only full of stress and chaos.

I care about your friends and family’s love for you.

I care about letting the small and big moments unfold without interruption.

I care about you knowing that your wedding can be peaceful. Your interactions with your guests can be an abundance of love not a nuisance.

I care about teaching you and your partner how to say this mantra to one another, “Stay here with me” as a reminder of this during a busy, beautiful day.

What an amazing career that I get to witness multiple versions of you. This session meant so much between the three of us. In the last few years of knowing each other, we have celebrated, grieved and had the best creative connection. 🤍 thank you all for continually inviting me in to your lives as you enter new and exciting chapters!

Who else feels a squeeze in their heart when you see people come to life as the days are getting warmer?

On our walk by the lake, I see couples, families, friends enjoying the longer days together and I love to see people doing it without a cell phone in their hand.

I think when we prioritize play, it will spill over into other areas in our lives to help make things feel a little easier. 🤍☁️🌞

This wedding…both people were really invested in the day. As you can see on their faces, they really wanted to be married to one another. To celebrate the intertwining of their lives and all of the moments leading to it- all the moments that will come after.

They made this their own and an expression of their love.

Their friends and family were in that expression as well. You can see by how genuinely they wanted to celebrated the day, how excited they were for the couple.

Everything from these photos illuminates happiness.

And I really encourage those who are planning a wedding to not let the stress get on top of you.

Because underneath it all is the expression of joy, love, and celebration that wants to be tapped into and to be felt to the fullest.

As the weather warms up
I can feel the transition

A new chapter to our lives slowly rounding the corner
A renewal of confidence to step into the outside world again.

As we do, may we be kind to ourselves and to others who may enter our lives and who already exist here.

May we take the new found energy from the extra sunshine hours to show the ones we love more appreciation and serve the ones who are still finding their way out of the dark hours.

I continually watch couples transition from one life event to the next and one thing they always have in common is the peace they give one another. No matter what is going on out there, they know they always have a gentle place to come home to.

I wanted to post this session today because it holds that feeling so well. that sense of peace and appreciation for one another as they enter this new loving stage in life with their sweet new baby.
