I hate thanksgiving….

But I love fall! I’m so grateful/ thankful for so much in my life everyday that I think Thanksgiving is the most boring holiday. Also it doesn’t help that I’m and can’t eat the best things!

We did something a little old fashioned…

We had an engagement party! It was such a good opportunity to bring all of the people in our lives together all at once, and we only had to tell our engagement story once! We had everyone dress up which created such a fun energy (the champagne might have helped too). We had so much fun and I’m so glad we decided to do something kind of old fashioned!

Does anyone remember having to get family photos done in a studio when they were a kid?

Don’t leave studio sessions in the past! A studio is a blank canvas that you can do anything with, and I mean anything! From engagements, to bridals, to even family photos you don’t just have to stand and smile in front of a blank wall anymore (even though those photos can be just as good) ✨

How long do wedding party photos really take? Always longer than you anticipated!

Wedding party photos come down to how many bridesmaids and groomsmen you have. My recommendation for a wedding party of 10 is usually 30-45 minutes (depending on how many specific photos you want) and then add 5 minutes for every 2 more people you add.

How much time did you account for your wedding party photos? Do you wish you had more or less time? ✨

A common question I get about engagement sessions is where my favorite location to shoot at is.

I always share a few of my favorite places but always tell me couples to choose what feels most like them! I want to create photos that reflect your relationship so let’s have fun with it!

The number one thing I’ve learned as a destination wedding photographer is that there is no one way to have a perfect wedding!

Seriously cater the day exactly to you and your fiancé! If you want to have a first look and a private vow reading, or want to see each other for the first time walking down the aisle and share your vows with your guests freaking do it!

If the day is perfect in your eyes then that’s all that should matter✨
