For me, this photo made the whole effort of lugging camera gear around everywhere worth it. This is the only bald eagle that we saw in the week. Not real sure what type of fish that is - flounder or halibut - or what happened to the back part. I feel that this eagle stole the fish from someone who turned their back for a moment while filleting it.

I honestly did not know you could find puffin in Alaska. Kenai Fjords National Park (2nd NP that I got to check off on my list of National Parks Visited).

The baby was wandering all around the little lake and I knew the momma had to be somewhere nearby. Patience paid off.

Hey, WHERE ARE MY TREATS??? I know you have them. This cute little guy was really friendly but definitely used to getting treats (we disappointed him). Artic Ground Squirrel, Denali National Park.

Not sure, but I think this is an American Three Toed Woodpecker that I saw in Denali National Park. This thing hardly stood still and I am happy to have caputered these.
