I’ve teased a few of these wedding photos in my stories over the summer but figured it was time to share more of them- this was such a fun and adorable backyard wedding, complete with a downpour and the entire wedding party in the pool at the end 🤩 I stopped doing weddings a long time ago but could not resist the offer to be a fly on the wall at this one. 👰🏼‍♀️🤵

Honestly can’t believe I didn’t share these a few months ago when I finished this gallery, but now that I’m emerging from the newborn trenches I am excited to share some more work!

CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE this sunset 🤩🤩 we were super worried because it had been downpouring just before the shoot but we decide to trust the Oklahoma sky and it was worth it.

A few in here with the open rolling plain just encapsulate Oklahoma landscape and that’s what this family wanted to document as part of their journey together!

A big thank you to all of my clients from 2024 and for those who were so understanding when I had to cancel on them this fall when my baby decided to come way too early 🙃😜 I am looking forward to putting together some spring minis so keep an eye out for more info! 🫶🏻

Currently living in a VERY flat flat place, and being from a very NOT flat place, I like looking at these pictures with hills and mountains in them to remind me of where I came from 😜

Also, the Owen family, my dear friends 😍 dreamy location, lighting on point, not to mention outfit coordination 👏🏻 session dreams come true!

Yesterday I was chatting with an Oklahoma local who was describing the last tornado that came through this area and how the school she was working at didn’t have a storm shelter so they were told to gather in the hallways and crouch down with their arms over their heads until it passed 😳 luckily they are [just now?!?] in the process of building storm shelters for the schools this summer, but of course I had a terrible dream last night that a twister came through and whipped my husband away with it and I think I’m now going to claim tornadoes as my least favorite natural disaster 😂
🌪🚫🌪🚫🌪🚫🌪 if anybody’s got a tornado story, let’s hear it!

I told you an overload of these was coming! And this is only Part One 🤩

This was one of those sessions where we showed up and I thought maybe the sun was still up too high but we went for it anyways and it was the most perfect glowiest thing.

One of those sessions where the family is your closest friends and are so comfortable and effortless in front of the camera and are willing to try stuff when I say “I don’t know if this’ll be cool or dumb but let’s see!” And it totally turns out COOL.

One of those sessions where I look at the images and am proud dang it! Where I can see how much I’ve grown and the talents I’ve cultivated and the passion I have for documenting families together in beautiful landscapes.

I love you + family! Thank you for making me your family [and cake] photographer and friend for life 😘

Now.... which one is your favorite of these 10?!?!? 🌞

So glad I found this AMAZING TREE 🌸🌸🌸🌸 on the side of a busy road and convinced some of my hardworking mama friends to get in front of the camera!

One of them is a nurse who works part time to support them while her husband is in law school.
One of them wakes up at 2 am to work as an English language teacher for Chinese kids, and then stays home with her baby full time.
One of them runs a successful cake business from home while also being a stay at home mom.

Being a mom + everything else we do and are is NOT EASY. I’m a little late to the whole posting on Mother’s Day thing, but this was my Mother’s Day gift to them and I strongly believe that every mom needs to get in pictures with their babies, if anything to show you that motherhood looks beautiful on you 💕
Really hoping to do more of these micro sessions for moms in future years! I’d love to make it a tradition!

A few of these photos I included on my last BTS reel of this session, but they just whipped by and I thought they deserved a solid place on my feed 😍

just had her 4th boy and it was so sweet to be there and watch them all love on their newest little bro. FOUR BOYS man..... I know a lot of people would say they’ve got their hands full, but just my experience from having one boy is that mama is going to be so well taken care of 🥰

⭐️Say a prayer for loved ones who are struggling
⭐️Go outside
⭐️Talk to my friends
⭐️Smell the flowers Trav brought home for me yesterday
⭐️Say ‘thank you’
⭐️Squeeze my babies.

Does anybody remember The Dream Doctor radio show??? I had a radio alarm clock when I was a kid and I would tune it to that station to wake up to in the morning and listen to people call in and discuss their weird dreams with this dubiously credible guy who would give them profound meaning 🔮

I JUST remembered this because I just took the most amazing landscape photo of my life- I was standing in the middle of a raging river with a view of these ridiculously majestic mountains, and then this herd of big horn sheep came stampeding down the river and two of them clashed together *directly* in front of my camera and I knew that I was going to sell that photo to National Geographic. Then I woke up 🤣

Not the worst way to start my morning feeling a little bit epic, although it was a teeeeeny but disappointing to know it was only a dream 🛌 I kind of wish The Dream Doctor was still around so I could call it in and get a reading 😂

Meanwhile, I’m content to hang out and look at cute baby feet and family snuggles. Next time I’m in a raging river though I really hope I *capture* the opportunity 🐏
