At some point I will post pictures from Italy that aren’t from Florence, but Florence is why I went in the first place. For the Florence in me. It’s my maiden name and my daughter’s name and it was at the top of my bucket list.

Self care is important folks. I gifted myself a trip to Italy, by myself, and it was more healing than I could have ever imagined it could. My camera gives me permission to approach strangers, notice and create beauty because of others willingness.

Italy was my 40th birthday present to myself. It’s been the top of my bucket list for as long as I can remember and it was every bit as incredible and cathartic as I could have hoped or dreamed. I spent three days on my own in Positano and then met up with a group of photographers and together we took Florence, Rome, the Vatican and Cinque Terra by storm.

I was meant to be born in Italy.
