I really enjoy shooting personal branding sessions. Typically, the client and I collaborate to bring their vision to life by discussing style, props, location, wardrobe, etc. Then we come up with a shots list to accomplish their goals for the session. I'm always delighted, of course, when my clients rave about their photos. Who needs personal branding photos? My clients tend to be professionals and business owners looking for imagery that reflects who they and helps them tell their story to better reach their clientele.

Our beautiful mother left the physical world today. She was adored by so many for her generous, kind and loving spirit. She will be remembered always as a dedicated mother, loyal and loving partner to my dad for 74 years, doting grandmother, kind auntie to so many. She passed on to her four children a passion for cooking and eating good food. She was known the world over for her delicious empanadas, gnocchi, milanesas Argentinas, alfajores de maicena, merengues, pastafrola...the list goes on. For the past six years or so her memories and ability to communicate were slowly and painfully ravaged by Lewis Body Dementia. This photo is how I want to remember my dulce mamita - a sweet smile that could melt your heart. My heart hurts so much. I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with her over the past year. Anda en paz, dulce mamita. Te tengo en mi corazón para siempre ❤️💕🥰

I finally had the opportunity to dine at in Heber, as I've been avoiding eating indoors until I was fully vaccinated... well, turns out being fully vaccinated also corresponds with patio season here in the northern hemisphere, so outdoor eating it is. If you haven't tried Afterword yet, it's time. I gathered my foodie friends last night (.doyle and ) and we feasted on the most fantastic meal and cocktails I've had in a long time. Chef Nick is a superstar, the bartender rocks, the outdoor patio is delightful, the service was spot on... This is my new favorite restaurant. I've been photographing Afterword's menu over the past year or so (photos pictured here), but I never got to sit down and enjoy a proper sit down dinner here. So glad I finally did. (ps - wish I'd thought to take a photo of the beautiful patio - guess you'll have to check it out for yourselves 😉).

On this day, praise to the woman who cooked all our meals from scratch. Who taught me the meaning of unconditional love. Whose wit and humor I hope to have inherited. Praise to our mothers who have worked tirelessly to keep us alive, dammit - it's a hard ass job! Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas, whether you're caring for humans, dogs, cats, or otherwise, you deserve all the props today and every day ❤️
