Hiiii! It’s me. It’s been a little bit since I posted so I wanted to give a little update.
I’m gonna start with the BEST news, last weekend my wonderful partner proposed to me in the beautiful Bryce Canyon and we are getting married !! 💍💕🥰

Now for the rest of the post.. haha
There have been such huge shifts that happened in my life since our move to Utah, and while most of them have been wonderful and great, some of them have not. And included in that is the degree to which photographer has taken the back burner. So much so that I’ve got a brand new 8mm camera and another film camera that I haven’t even taken out of the box yet! 😩😂

There are many reasons, but the most important one is ultimately it has stopped feeling like the exciting thing I looked forward to, and more like a chore. Pursuing a freelance business in a completely new place where you know no one, in the height of economic crisis, with everything else in my life, has just not been a super fun time. And I think knowing when to change it up is an essential life skill haha. Ive started to set my sights on other things and projects and am excited for where this new direction will take me.

After 8 wonderful years, it has officially become the time for me to close the doors on pursuing this as a business of mine. I may still take on client work, especially for friends & family, but my major focus will be on photography as a creative outlet, as a collaboration, as a healing medium. I’m excited to ENJOY creating again! And I am even more excited to plan my wedding and dive deep into that experience for myself, as I have helped so many of my clients!

Once I get some rest & recovery, I hope to start sharing some of that journey with you, and continue to share my photography/videography, though I don’t quite know exactly what that will look like at this moment.

I appreciate everyone who has come on this journey with me and those of you who will continue to do so!! And especially everyone who has trusted me to capture your life’s special moments! 😭💕

Introducing Taylor + James Santolla! ✨

I've been itching to get my workspace set up in the new place so I could work on editing this beautiful wedding and post some sneak peeks! Elk Lake Resort is such a stunning venue and having Mt. Bachelor as our backdrop was meaningful in so many ways! It was exciting camping on the lake and spending the entire weekend hanging out with these incredible humans. So excited to share more from this beautiful day!

New location, new transition, new goals. That’s a good enough time as any for another introduction post!
So hiiii to all you old faces, and an extra special hi to all you new ones! I’m Ronnekia, but a lot of people call me Reaux as well - I’m down with either! As a photographer and soon to be videographer, most of the time - especially lately - I feel I can express myself better and tell a better story through photos and videos so that’s just what I’ll do for this introduction. This is me, I hope you enjoy being here!

1. Work hard and be nice to people. My motto and the fuel that powers me through everything I do.

So excited to finally announce: we’re moving! My wonderful partner and I are headed to the beautiful Utah! We’re so excited for the new adventures ahead and I’m looking forward to getting back to business and serving my new community in all sorts of ways!

I’ve got a few weddings still this summer that I’ll travel back to shoot in Bend, but you’ll start seeing all my social media locations and such change in the coming weeks! Thanks to all of my Bend people and clients who have supported me thus far and I hope you’ll continue to join me for the ride!!

THESE TWOOOOO!! hJkfjshhd I just canNOT with how cute they were and how fun this session was!!

You guys ever have that moment at your job when you’re like dang, this is the good stuff and you feel right where you’re supposed to be? That’s how I felt shooting with these two beautiful souls and editing this session. The past couple months have been stressful and hard for me personally but getting to work with these two helped me remember why I do what I do and reignited that fire in me to keep doing it tenaciously. ❤️‍🔥

Thank you to all the folks who continue to trust me to capture your memories, and for those of you who will in the future! This year will be filled with so much love, adventure, fun, and growth and I’m so here for it! 😍

Happy Friday!! Tis the season for the weather to be warming up (at least it's trying) and to start to do more outdoor sessions. I got to photograph this wonderful family again this week! It is always such an honor when my awesome clients trust me and enjoy their session so much that they return less than a year later 🥹🧡

Enjoy some of my favorites from their summer family session last summer at one of my favorite photo places in Central Oregon, Smith Rock. Our session this week was an abnormally gloomy and slightly rainy day up on Smith Rock again, but I'm so excited for warmer weather and SUN on the horizon & for photography season to be kicking in to swing again! 💃🏾☀️

There are so many in beautiful in between moments on your wedding day that you barely get to think about. Like your brother helping you get ready & putting on your shoes for you so you don’t have to bend down. Or just any of the other fleeting moments that happen in the transitions you don’t remember, not because you don’t want to, but because our brains aren’t programmed to be able to remember every single detail- and saying your vows in front of all your guests and becoming officially married to your spouse takes precedence in your brain, naturally.

Well, that’s why I’m here! I’m so thrilled that I get to be a part of preserving all the little details of those in-between moments for you. 🥰
