Family! Really it’s the reason why we do all the little things we do each and every day. It’s what matters most and lasts the longest! Photographing families brings me so much JOY!

I get so many messages and emails asking if I still take family photos and the answer is YES! I am just so busy with my own family that sharing photos online doesn’t happen very often.

Truly grateful for this cute family that I have had the blessing of photographing for many years. Their love for eachother and for life runs deep.

I loved photographing this beautiful family as they welcomed their sweet baby boy into their family last June. He is one blessed little guy to join such an amazing family although I am sure they would claim to be the lucky ones.

I love newborn sessions so much. I haven’t been great about sharing very many photo sessions online. Here’s to new goals for a new year and hoping to find more time to share a little more.

I absolutely loved photographing the Hales extended family photos! We have been so blessed to live nearby this great family and learn from their examples of love and service over the years. Their family has brought so much goodness to our community and now our city is blessed to have Brett be our Mayor! Golden hour is such a beautiful time to schedule photo sessions but how do you know what time to schedule your session when you are planning months in advance?

The quickest way for me is to “google sunset” calendar and then enter in the city/state and date of the photo session. The sunset calendar will tell you exactly what time the sun will set in that specific city and on that date. From there I just schedule the session about 90 minutes prior to the sunset and that will give you that pretty “golden hour” lighting.

Also, if you are scheduling a session in the mountains then keep in mind the sun will go behind the mountains sooner so you will want to plan your session a little earlier.

I am excited to head back to this location later this week for a senior photo session! If you still need to schedule senior photos I have a couple openings left.

I can’t believe this school year is coming to an end so quickly. My kids only have 4 weeks left of school. So crazy! We are excited to head to some of our favorite camping spots this summer and try out a few new places as well. What are you looking forward to most this summer?

These two have such a beautiful love story! He proposed last year on their birthdays. Yes, that’s right they both have the same birthday. This year they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple on their birthdays. I am so grateful to have met Richard and Miriam and wish them the very best in all of their adventures to come!
