Get tired of Joshua Tree? Never! Even if I do always leave with a few new cactus needles stuck to me. When people ask, I try to explain this place has some way of rearranging you on a soulful, molecular level. tbh taking self portraits in gorgeous scenery is a) kind of fun and b) harder than you'd think? Like I AM a literal actual professional photographer and it was *such* a task. But I want to remember all the lovely places I've visited and see myself in those unbelievable spots, even if the photos come out imperfectly. so I'm trying to do this a little more. I felt a little like a loon trying to get things setup, run into place, adjust, run back, setup again, adjust, run, look calm, act natural... it's hard! but hopefully like everything else, the more I do it the easier it will get. anyways, Zion is breathtaking, I'm awkward, okay love you bye for now 🫶🏻

custom vows have always been one of my favorite things about weddings. it's your chance to share out loud what you adore about each other & what you hope to build together! you can fill your vows with silly inside jokes, obscure pop culture references, song lyrics that resonate with you -- whatever goes. serious or funny, short or long. It doesn't really matter if anyone else understands. Your vows are for you! So say what's on your heart & for goodness sake put it on a piece of paper so I can photograph it please and thankyouuuu ❤️

I miss Colorado thhhhiiiiisssss much 👆🏻 and so much more! Also these sunglasses and slides (RIP to them both). Travel is by & far one of the most life-changing, life-affirming experiences & sorrynotsorry I will never stop talking about it! Being in a new place brings in so many new opportunities. Maybe you DO like hiking -- but only west of the Mississippi. Or that your patience for sitting in L.A. traffic exponentially increases if you have enough palm trees in sight. You could possibly be a morning person even, if you get to watch the light shimmy its way through a mountain range! If you never get out there you'll never know who you might really be. And who you might be may be even more awesome than you can imagine. ✨

✨all at once, everything is different — lyrics from Hope & John’s song that perfectly encapsulates the warmth and kindness and realness of their relationship. These two tied the knot against the red rocky landscape of southern Utah & my goodness, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like it! It was an absolute joy to be part of it — seriously, what an adventure!

Most weddings and elopements I work solo, but if ever there’s a chance to work in a national park and I keep each other in mind & the stars aligned so 14/10 recommend working with one of the SWEETEST couples to ever live WITH your best friend in one of the MOST EPIC PLACES YOU’VE EVER SEEEENNNNNN OMG.

PS can you guess the song!? I feel like it’s an underrated classic of our time and it’s basically been on repeat in my head as I finish editing this gorgeous gallery!!!

your photos are SUPPOSED to be fun (in case anyone hasn't told you)! whether it's your wedding day, your engagement shoot, or a "just because I love you and we've been together forever and all our photos are poorly lit bathroom selfies." whatever the reason for booking a shoot - it's SUPPOSED to be fun! I know, this may go against EVERYTHING you've ever known about having your photo taken, but look at it this way: you basically get to memorialize how obsessed you are with your partner at this very moment in time. we'll go to your favorite spot, where you two can wrap up in that blanket your family's had for decades & drink your favorite beers together. and to me, that sounds pretty damn fun. throwback to two people who are so fun they named their cat spaghetti, Izzy & Joe! ❤️
