Back in the office after a much needed break form the last three insane months of the season! I wanted to post something about this wedding the second I got home because I was just stunned at what we accomplished and that the wedding actually took place!
First, it's not what you're thinking! We have been photographing weddings for almost 30 years and I get asked this question a ton..."have you ever had a wedding just not happen or cancel day of!?" NO...but we have come damn close a handful of times. Twice it has been because the bride was incredibly sick [should have gone to hospital sick] Taylor's was one we literally asked ourselves dozens of times..."what are we going todo if there's no ceremony?!" When we arrived at Castle Farm we were told she was asleep, very sick and has been throwing up all day and she doesn't even know if she wants or can even make it down the aisle.
Somehow this amazing woman took meds, an IV, rested while we photographed the guys to give her some time, crushed the pics [even did a 1st look!] and walked her beautiful self down the aisle and stuck the landing!
None of this would have happened without patience [not freaking out in front of the bride] and a ton of teamwork by every single vendor that day! Alison to the Altar, Castle Farm, Edrock Entertainment and Andrea Bounds Beauty all worked for the same goal of making her day incredible and really stepped up when it counted! Thank you all so much!
Here is what Taylor had to say! "Our photographers were an absolute dream team. Even though I was incredibly sick, they made me feel comfortable, confident, and never once rushed or pressured. I was not sure I'd even make it to walk down the aisle and both Andrew and his wife were extremely compassionate. They still managed to get every shot and photo that I could of imagined. They adapted to everything with patience and positivity, finding ways to get gorgeous photos without overwhelming me. They have such a gift for capturing memories and emotion— not just posed shots, but the real, candid moments that we’ll cherish forever. I felt so supported and cared for the entire day, and looking at the photos, you would never know how sick I was. That is a testament to their talent, their eye for detail, and their kindness. I am endlessly grateful for their professionalism and for the warmth they brought to our wedding day. I wasn't feeling my best, and they both made me feel special. Andrew and his wife are HILARIOUS! So fun to work with and so beyond talented!!! My family and friends all said the same! We’re forever grateful and will be using Andrew Nock photography for future shoots!"
