PHOTO RESTORATION A man came in with this very old chalk rendition of his great great grandfather, which was quite damaged, and needed it to be restored. Great great Grandfather James was "resurrected" back through our being able to work through the miracle of Photoshop. I also got to hear about the fantastic story of how they are all related to Anthony and Mary Johnson who originally came over as indentured servants in 1619 on a ship from England (originally came from Congo). They were among the first free slaves in the 1600's and ended up living and owning land on the Eastern shore of Virginia and Maryland. Every year family members from these original free slaves have a family reunion, and this year they are expecting several hundred to attend it this Saturday in Princess Anne.
