Marsh mud covered my soles as I stepped into the bed of my truck. I looked out over the vast expanse of glowing grasses and the sinking bright sunlight confined to one area that felt like a flashlight shining in my eyes.

The yellow-white light in the distance compared to the dark waters in front of me felt like juxtaposition found in paintings, yet there was complete harmony.đź’›

I’m off on another photo adventure today in search of the same harmony for artwork. I hope you have the chance to be surrounded by nature on this beautiful Saturday! 🌞

Sunday I was in an isolated area waiting for sunset colors to wash over the marshland for a photo project. No cars or people passed in the almost 2 hours I was there. Only a Red-winged blackbird watched me from atop a muskrat’s lodge.
I walked along the road, camera in hand, breathing in the brackish air, and listened to the tidal water flowing in along the marsh. Being there was so calming, and somehow, was reminiscent of years gone by. The simplicity of everything void of noise, cell signal, traffic, and chaos was beautiful. The walk down that road on Sunday night was just what my soul needed.đź’›
