Breastfeeding IS normal. It is a mother feeding their child. And yet, so many mothers are told to "go in the car if you need to feed your baby" and "Do that in the bathroom" or "you should give a bottle in public". They are told no matter the weather- to "just put a blanket over their head!" But why? WHY do we treat breastfeeding mothers as if they are doing something wrong? Or shameful? Feeding your child IS NOT wrong. IT IS NOT rude. IT IS NOT sexual. IT IS NOT attention seeking. IT IS NOT disrespectful. breastfeeding IS natural. Wherever and however you do it, breast or bottle, home or public, breastfeeding IS an accomplishment and is a beautiful bonding time. It is an amazing gift from mother to child.
