Earlier today, smoke could be seen rising above the trees along Union Church Road as firefighters rushed to the scene of a fully involved garage fire.
Station 3 Fruitland Volunteer Fire Department arrived first due and quickly went to work establishing water supply and attacking the flames before they could spread to nearby homes and surrounding woods.
From above, the scale of the response was clear — multiple engines on scene, hose lines stretched across the property, and firefighters moving through heavy smoke as crews worked to bring the fire under control.
🚒 First responders moved fast to contain the blaze, preventing further damage in a neighborhood surrounded by dry brush and timber. Thick smoke drifted across the treeline as crews battled the fire from both the driveway and the structure itself.
Moments like this highlight the speed, coordination, and dedication of our local volunteer fire departments who protect our community every single day.
