Lindsay needed a few new head shots for her job. I love finding those genuine expressions that really speak to who a person is in their portrait. It’s tricky when life is so busy, but then there are those quiet moments when you just look into your dog’s eyes and smile.

Local (Kansas^^) cosmetics artisan, Meagan asked me to photograph her new line up of nail colors for Wildly Natural this fall. Fingernails ended up being on of my most challenging photo subjects of 2014, but the colors shined brightly. Mother + Daughter + Countryside = Beautiful Portraits! I spent a lovely afternoon at Rachel's family homestead with 6 month old Ayla on a cool Sunday evening. These are some of my favorites from the shoot! I love the opportunity and challenges of working on new locations. I can't wait for our next photo shoot, Ayla is growing so fast, she's just started sitting up and has her first two teeth. I can't wait to see her in 3 months ^^

I couldn't resist standing on my front porch, camera rolling at dusk on Sunday May 11, 2014. Note that none of these images were edited! The colors of the sky and light were ever changing as the storm moved in with thunder and lightning.

It's February! We just ordered seeds for our summer garden and are preparing supplies and space to grow our seedlings. I'm so excited for what the 2014 garden will bring in beauty and tasty vegetables! February is also great month to start planning a spring photo session. The sun is starting to shine longer, the weather is clearing up and spring blooming flowers are right around the corner. Contact me to start brainstorming and book your date for a spring photo shoot!
