This maternity session absolutely took my breath away. There is something so timeless, so emotional, so powerful about black and white images — when a client says, “I want black and white,” it genuinely warms my soul. That classic, raw feeling? It never goes out of style.

But whew… the way her skin glowed in that light. ✨ It was almost unfair to keep it only in black and white. Some moments deserve that rich contrast — and some deserve to shine in full color.

Motherhood is art. Light is art. And capturing both in a way that tells her story? That’s why I love what I do.

Photography has never just been a “job” for me — it’s been part of who I am.

I grew up with a camera in my hand in high school, taking photos just because I loved it. Not for money. Not for attention. Just for the magic of freezing a moment in time.

In 2011, I turned that passion into a wedding business… and that’s where everything expanded. From weddings to senior sessions, pet minis, Christmas minis, family portraits, maternity sessions — I fell in love with capturing life in all its seasons.

But what I really love?
Making magic.

I love the editing process. I love Photoshop. I love taking something beautiful and elevating it into something unforgettable. Some photographers keep it natural. Some go bold and artistic. Some prefer animals, bugs, landscapes. Some barely edit at all. Others create full fantasy worlds.

And that’s what makes photography incredible.

There is no one “right” style.
There’s room for documentary, dramatic, whimsical, moody, bright, magical — all of it.

I work alongside several talented creatives right now, and I genuinely love seeing how different everyone’s approach is. We all see the world through different lenses — literally and figuratively.

I didn’t leave because I was brave.
I left because I wanted to live.

They don’t tell you how heavy the door feels
when you’re carrying fear, hope, and bruised prayers
all at once.

I stayed too long.
I believed promises.
I learned how to be quiet.

If I hadn’t left,
I would have died at 26.

That’s the part people don’t like to say out loud.
