There’s something special about photographing Seniors in high school. They are on the brink of so much change & opportunity, many of them full of so much ambition & drive. It’s refreshing to be taken back to what it felt like when I was a senior so many years ago. Not long before I’d move to Colorado & fall in love with this state. After having lost our sweet Waylon dog, our 13 1/2 year old lab/Chesapeake bay mix last weekend, I cherish the images that we have with him from our wedding day so much more. If I can provide a glimpse in time of these far too fleeting moments of life then I’m fulfilling the very reason I started photographing. What an honor to be able to tell these stories, each of them different & beautiful all the same.

We battled some fierce wind to get this first shot but it’s always worth it! Congrats Whitley & Kevin! I loved telling your story yesterday. A fabulous way to end my wedding season! This break is much needed for me as a creative/photographer so I can rest my weary bones, spend time with my family, & recharge my spirit for all of my weddings next year! Thanks to all my couples for an epic season!

Makayla is an incredibly talented competitive soccer player in Denver & class of 2022 Senior. Just last week during a game her knee collided with another players cleat resulting in 15 stitches. I loved so much that she specifically asked for me to not edit it out. She hobbled around with me to get these stunning Aspen shots! And that’s the last of the fall photo sessions folks! 🎤⬇️ 🍁🍂

Thanks for the shots of me photographing ! I love shooting with you! I really like shooting with primes (plus they are much easier on my hand/arm) but I just can’t kick my love for the 70-200L 2.8 IS for weddings, especially for ceremonies. It allows me to maintain the professionalism that’s important to me by allowing me to keep distance but still have tight & sharp images.
