Don’t be fooled by the flashy pictures. This is what you don’t see. So while you may think it’s living a dream, here is one of the realities of traveling with bands…

Woke up Thursday at 9am Paris time

Did a show that night and edited photos till 3 am Friday

Was told I could change my flight at the airport. I was worried I’d miss my connecting flight with an hour in Amsterdam with passport control.

So showered and left for airport at 4am (no sleep)

5am AirFrance said Delta has to change it.

6am Called Delta they said they can not change it due to it being booked by a 3rd party (1am my time, 3rd party closed and can’t make a change)

Checked in for original flight. Knowing this wasn’t going to happen.

11:30am current flight to Amsterdam delayed 1 hour. Will miss connecting flight to Tampa 100%

12:00pm changed to a 1pm flight due to the delay. Couldn’t rebook a business premium ticket I personally paid to upgrade, sold out. Economy 44th row. Luggage didn’t make on the plane.

Got to JFK at 9pm Paris time. Luggage still in Paris. (Little naps on the plane)

Flight scheduled for 7pm local time (1am Paris time, still no sleep)

Got to Tampa at 6am Saturday Paris time (no nap)

Grabbed Bronco from long term lot and drove home.

Got home and jumped in the shower at 8am Paris time Saturday. In bed by 8:30am Paris time. Crashed hard!!!

Bag finally delivered on Sunday at 1:15pm (7:15pm Paris time)

End of saga trying to get home from Paris
