Currently somewhere between “wow I am so grateful to be this busy” and “I may never see the bottom of my Lightroom catalog again” 😂

The last few months have been a lotttttt in the best way. Weddings, sneak peeks, galleries, emails, new sessions coming in, trying to catch up on older work while staying on top of the new stuff…and also trying to be a normal human and have a life outside of work somewhere in between all of it ! Fun right!?

But senior sessions this year have been SUCH a bright spot. I think I’ve had around seven seniors in just the last month, and every single one has been so much fun. I have approximately 400 things I need to post, but Addy’s session felt like a pretty good place to start 🤍

Okay Salem — FALL SESSIONS ARE OPEN!!

I wanted to do things a little differently this year and give you two options depending on whether you’re wanting the classic fall-photo feel or something a little more laid-back and candid.

Traditional Fall Minis | $275
20 minutes at a private field location in Salem with all edited images included. Quick, easy, pretty fall photos with your people and a good mix of the classic ones for the frames + the more natural moments in between.

Backyard S’mores Sessions | $350
30 minutes at your home with all edited images included. You provide the s’mores setup, I show up and document you guys actually enjoying it together. These will be much more candid-forward. Think roasting marshmallows, eating s’mores, hanging out, laughing, snuggling and all the little things that actually feel like your family.

Also: your backyard does NOT need to be fancy or aesthetic for these. Honestly, that’s kind of the point. Fifteen years from now, I think there’s something really special about having photos of your kids making s’mores in the backyard they actually grew up in.

I’ve had several people reach out lately about booking fall photos, so I wanted to go ahead and share what I’m planning for this year! 🤎

I’m going to offer TWO different fall session options:

🍂 TRADITIONAL FALL MINIS
• 15 minute session
• one outdoor fall location
• classic family photos + kiddos individually/together
• a mix of posed + candid images

These will be perfect if you’re wanting those quick, updated family photos for fall, Christmas cards, frames around the house, etc.

🔥 BACKYARD S’MORES SESSIONS
• 30 minute session
• photographed in your own backyard
• s’mores + hanging around the fire together
• a few traditional family photos mixed in
• much more candid/storytelling focused

And your backyard absolutely does NOT have to be fancy or aesthetic for these. That’s kind of the whole point. I want them to feel like real life…making s’mores with your kids, laughing, snuggling, marshmallow-covered faces and just being together.

I wanted to offer something new along with my typical fall minis this year. I want these to be the kind of photos you look back on 15 years from now and remember what this season with your family actually felt like. 🤎

Dripping Springs has become a pretty regular part of my life lately, and for the foreseeable future, I’ll most likely be spending time in Texas at least once a month 🤠

And since I’ll be there that often, it feels like the perfect time to begin building some clientele there too. 🤍

So, if you’re in the Dripping Springs + Austin area, I’d love to get you in front of my camera. Families, seniors, couples, branding, weddings…all the same things I already love photographing here in Illinois, just with a little more Texas mixed in.

I think I’m still on a high from last week. Like can we all just go back to Mexico and do it again??? 🥹🌴

Maybe it’s because I spend so much of my life around weddings, but I left this one thinking about how little you actually need for a wedding to feel really freaking special.

There weren’t a million details to finish or decorations everyone was stressing about getting just right (Allie literally did her own hair & makeup?! 🔥)….And I LOVE all the pretty wedding things, but this week was such a reminder that those things aren’t what make a wedding special. The people are!

Caden + Allie got married, their people showed up, and we all got to spend a week together. That was pretty much it. And it was SO GOOD. We checked out of regular life, sat by the pool, ate too much, laughed a lot and just enjoyed each other. I think that’s about as “live your mist well” as it gets. 🤍

I always hope my couples leave feeling like they spent an evening together instead of a photoshoot. Courtney & Garrett’s laughter, playfulness, and the way they naturally connect made this session one I’ll love looking back on for a long time. I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day! 🤍
