We ripped up our floors expecting a renovation… and instead found mold, water damage, and a whole lot of things you never want hiding inside your home.

Honestly, all I could think about was my girls. What had been stirred up into the air while we were tearing everything apart?

We’ve had air purifiers running in our home for a while now, and when I checked the filters after three months of demo and remodeling, I couldn’t believe what they had collected. It was one of those moments that made me stop and think, wow… I’m really thankful we had these.

You can’t always see what’s in your air. But after this remodel, I know exactly what can be hiding there, and I’m incredibly grateful for the little things that help make our home feel a little safer. 🤍

One decision changed how clients saw her.

One of my clients updated her website with her new gallery on a Monday.
By Friday, she had booked two new clients.
Both said the same thing:

I have the proof.
So why do I still feel like a fraud?

I’ve been featured in magazines.
I’ve had clients tell me I changed their business.
I’ve had days where I felt completely unstoppable.

And I’ve also almost talked myself out of every single one of those things before they happened.

That’s the part that doesn’t get talked about enough.

Imposter syndrome doesn’t mean you’re not qualified.

It actually tends to show up the most for people who care the most. The ones who take it seriously. The ones who want to get it right.

So if you’ve ever felt like you were one client away from being “found out” hi, same. Pull up a chair. 🪑

We’re all just out here doing our best and hoping it’s enough. And most of the time? It really is.

If you’re choosing your photographer the same way I almost handled this situation…
you’re about to make an expensive mistake.

This morning I was on my kitchen floor, crying,
while water leaked all over my subfloor
and my flooring crew was on their way 🫠

And my first thought?
“Maybe I can fix this…”

Absolutely not.

I am not a plumber.
I am not a flooring expert.
And pretending to be one would’ve cost me more in the long run.

But that’s exactly what happens when you hire a photographer
just because they’re available… or affordable… or have a cute feed.

You’re hiring someone to “figure it out”
instead of someone who already knows how.

Your brand deserves more than that.

It deserves strategy.
It deserves intention.
It deserves imagery that actually drives trust, visibility, and sales.

Because fixing mistakes later?
Is always more expensive.
