A few years back I moved away from family sessions to focus on weddings but guess what??? IM BACK!!!! My fall calendar is officially open and ready to take on all those beautiful smiling faces. Session price including a full edited gallery (I don’t limit images) is $300. $25 deposit holds your date.

When it snows on your wedding day, you just go with it! The weather was freezing but thankfully the love in the air kept us warm. I was recently explaining to someone that posing couples is different every time. Some you have to help all the way down to finger placement and some are just like butter. Everything about this wedding day was perfect from start to finish. The dresses, the decor, the location just everything. watching the way Patrick looks at Andrea you know without a shadow of a doubt they found their person. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your day. The Alonzo/Heitkamp family has such a special place in my heart!

Photos by my talented daughter Chloe wolk. When she first came to me about wanting to get involved with the peaceful protest in Ste. Genevieve her classmates had arranged I was a bit unsettled. Being in such a rural area I had no idea how this would go over, but how could I as a parent tell my daughter she can’t make a stance against racial injustices. I can’t even tell you the emotion when we pulled up (a bit early) seeing the bar patrons across the way watching and seeing not a single protester. There were a few parked cars but no one was out. She asked me what if were the only ones here? I replied then we go up there and stand with our signs alone. She was scared and honest to God for one of the first times in my life I was too, but We got out of the van and went and stood with our signs. Minutes later cars started popping in and the line filled fast. I’m very happy to say we were embraced by the majority of our community with honks and thumbs up from cars passing. Of course we had a couple good ole boys who drove through repeatedly with their confederate flags blowing clouds of smoke on us. Please keep in mind it wasn’t a secret that this was an event organized by our youth. We did end up asking the gentleman with the blue line flag to join us after all when your just looking for peace love and equality that puts us on the same side. I’m proud of our community and our kids!
