I grew and birthed an entire person since the last time I shared any work on Instagram…

And I don’t regret it. But I am happy to be back sharing work and feeling like myself again after a rough pregnancy and postpartum period.

Having Naomi (that’s my daughter’s name; I love when I get to say “my daughter” 😭), is the best thing I’ve ever done. I feel so warm when I look at her and her gummy smile is my favorite. My husband David and I have so much fun with her and can’t get over how wonderful she is.

I am learning firsthand that bliss and pain go hand in hand while watching your child grow and I’ve never been more grateful for photography. I get to hold onto those little feet and chubby cheeks forever thanks to these photos. Shoutout to for capturing our family so beautifully!

Sometimes it feels really, REALLY hard to love my body. Sometimes it’s hard to care for my body. Sometimes it’s hard to dress my body. Sometimes it’s hard to even look at my body. But even when it’s hard I try to think about all she does for me and the life I get to live and love I get to feel because of her.

Bo***ir can mean so many things for different people but I especially love those sessions that are rooted in self-love.

Caiti on film from the Bare Sessions a couple Saturdays ago. 🎞️🩷

I’m so thankful to everyone who decided to take part in these sessions and allowed themselves to be seen. The art that came from these session completely blew me away. And, I already knew this, but it really reminded me that my clients are the coolest people and I’m simply obsessed. 🤩

This might sound silly, but the first time I developed a roll of film in the dark room I got chills from head to toe. Something about the extra care, attention, and patience that went into every image made them a thousand times more special and seeing the first image appear is a core memory lol.

Film lends itself well to my mission with this business which (among other things) is to provide a thoughtful and unique experience. Digital photography is incredible and I wouldn’t have a business without it but there is an indescribable quality about film and it will be a cherished part of your sessions with me.
