Part one of the sweetest newborn session 🤍

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting a front row seat to watching families grow. I photographed big sister when she was a newborn, and now this beautiful family has welcomed baby number three.

Watching each sibling’s excitement, curiosity, and love for their newest family member never gets old. These fleeting little moments are the ones that deserve to be remembered forever.

I almost didn’t post this.
Not because I don’t love the photo, but because I didn’t have a reel made for it. No carousel. No trending audio. No content plan.
Just one image.
And if you’ve been here for a while, you know a single photo usually doesn’t perform nearly as well as everything Instagram seems to want us to create these days.
But honestly, I’m a photographer because I love photographs. Not because I love making reels.
So instead of letting this image sit on my hard drive while I wait until I have time to turn it into something bigger, I’m sharing it now.
Because I loved this moment, I loved this photo, and that’s reason enough. 🤍

Part Two Of This Beautiful In studio Newborn Session 🤍

The newborn stage is such a blur while you’re in it. The days somehow feel long and impossibly fast all at once. And watching these two slow down and fully take in their baby during our session was so special to witness.

I’m so excited this family joined my First Year Collective because this is only the beginning of their story. Over the next year, I’ll get to document all the little changes…the gummy smiles, chubby baby rolls, first steps, and all the in between moments that end up meaning the most.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is watching people grow into parenthood right in front of my camera 🤍
