For those that really know me (and that list is very short), you know how I feel about awards and contests. However, I want to thank those that have gone out of their way to support me and what I do. Of course I strive to be the best that I can be, but what really matters is providing a great experience, and results that exceed the expectations of the clients that hire me. Apparently I'm doing OK with that. Thank You for the recognition!

When it comes to talking about cameras and photographs, I always say that it’s the photographer’s eye that matters most. This time, I’m going to sing the technical capability of a camera.

Eight months ago I sold two Canon 5D Mk IV cameras and purchased a mirrorless camera: the Canon R6. I used my new R6 to shoot the 2021 Millennium Dance Competition in Orlando on the same day I bought it. I noticed right away that the camera
exceeded my requirements for focus and tracking; a necessity when it comes to capturing images of fast moving subjects like ballroom dancers. The capabilities of the camera were stellar in every way, even on that first day, and it helped my “keep rate” of photos taken go up significantly. Dance has always been one of my favorite subjects to photograph. I’m not a Canon rep, but my desire has increased significantly with the Canon R5, R6 and RF lenses.
