Show me a place where a hike completely surprised you…

For me, this was one of those places.

Smith Rock State Park near Bend, Oregon.

We started our Pacific Northwest adventure here, and honestly, what a way to begin.

Towering volcanic cliffs.
The peaceful Crooked River winding through the canyon.
Hikers disappearing into a landscape that feels almost too dramatic to be real.

But the best adventures are never just about the scenery.

They’re about the memories.
The conversations.
The people you share them with.
The reminder that there is still so much beauty waiting to be discovered.

That is why I love photography.

Not just to capture what a place looked like, but to capture what it felt like.

What hike or adventure surprised you the most?

Gateway to Another Time 🌿

Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt yourself slow down?

That was my experience standing beneath the ancient live oaks of Wormsloe in Savannah, Georgia.

The massive trees, the sweeping branches, the Spanish moss gently hanging in the air… it felt less like walking down a road and more like stepping into a story.

This is one of the things I love most about photography.

A camera doesn’t just capture what something looked like.

It captures:
✨ the feeling
✨ the memory
✨ the wonder of being there

My hope is that my art helps people bring a little more beauty, peace, and adventure into the spaces where they live every day.

Question for you…

🌿 What place have you visited that completely stopped you in your tracks?

Today I noticed something I never imagined when I first picked up a camera...

My photography gallery just crossed 5.6 million visits.

When I started, I wasn't thinking about numbers.

I was simply trying to capture the beauty I saw in the world.

Over the years, photography has taken me from Minnesota's North Shore to Iceland's waterfalls, from the streets of Paris to the mountains, coastlines, and hidden corners of places I never dreamed I'd visit.

Along the way, I've met incredible people, made lifelong friends, and had opportunities that photography alone could never have provided.

My purpose has always been simple:

To inspire people to rediscover beauty, creativity, and possibility so they can live more meaningful, adventurous, and fully alive lives.

To everyone who has followed my journey, shared a post, left a comment, purchased a print, attended a class, read an article, or simply paused long enough to enjoy an image...

Thank you.

You are the reason this milestone matters.

One question:
Of all the places I've photographed over the years, which image or location has been your favorite?

I'd love to hear your answer.

Today I noticed something I never imagined when I picked up a camera years ago...

My gallery just passed 5.6 million visits.

Honestly, the number isn't what means the most to me.

What means the most is knowing that millions of people have paused, even for a moment, to experience beauty through one of my photographs.

From the North Shore of Minnesota...
To Iceland's dramatic landscapes...
To the streets of Paris...
To hidden corners of the world I never dreamed I'd visit...

Photography has given me the opportunity to see God's incredible creation, share it with others, and encourage people to slow down long enough to notice the beauty around them.

My purpose has always been simple:

I inspire people to rediscover beauty, creativity, and possibility so they can live more meaningful, adventurous, and fully alive lives.

Every image I create is an attempt to do just that.

To everyone who has followed my journey, shared a post, left a comment, purchased a print, taken a class, read an article, or simply stopped to look at an image...

Thank you.

You are the reason this milestone matters.

Here's to the next adventure.

Have you ever seen a place so beautiful that you wondered what it would be like to live there?

While exploring a remote fjord in Iceland, I came across this tiny red farmhouse tucked beneath towering mountains.

The scale of it all stopped me in my tracks.

A small home.
A vast landscape.
A reminder that there are still places in the world where life seems quieter, simpler, and more connected to the beauty around us.

Moments like this are one of the reasons I travel and photograph the world. They remind me that beauty still exists in abundance if we're willing to slow down and look for it.

Could you live here?

Some places don’t just impress you…

They stay with you.

Standing beneath the endless canopy of ancient live oaks at Wormsloe near Savannah, Georgia felt like stepping into another world.

The twisting branches…
The hanging Spanish moss…
The quiet stillness…

It felt timeless.

Places like this remind me why I travel, why I create, and why I believe beauty matters so deeply.

The world is still filled with wonder if we slow down long enough to notice it.

Imagine this as a huge statement piece in your home, office, hotel, or studio.

Some paintings don’t just tell a story.
They pull you into the moment.

Caravaggio’s Judith Beheading Holofernes remains one of the most emotionally intense masterpieces in art history.

The dramatic lighting.
The realism.
The raw human emotion.

More than 400 years later, it still feels cinematic.

One of Caravaggio’s most famous masterpieces, currently on international loan from Rome to the Kimbell Art Museum in Texas.

Some places leave a mark on your soul forever.

Walking inside Notre-Dame de Paris before the devastating fire was one of those moments for me.

The light…
The detail…
The centuries of craftsmanship…
The feeling of standing inside one of the world’s greatest cathedrals…

This image captures a moment in history that can never be recreated exactly the same way again.

Art preserves moments.
Photography preserves memory.

What historic place has impacted you the most?

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

Walking through is a powerful reminder that freedom is never free. Row after row of white headstones. Thousands of American flags gently moving in the wind. Names, stories, families, sacrifice.

Some gave decades of service. Some gave their futures. All gave something most of us can never fully comprehend.

As I photographed these moments, I couldn’t help but think about the weight of this place. The silence. The honor. The gratitude.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a day to remember. To reflect. To honor those who never came home.

May we live lives worthy of their sacrifice.

🇺🇸 Thank you to all who served. 🇺🇸 We remember the fallen. 🇺🇸 We will never forget.

🔥 Another Collector Brings Minnesota Beauty Home 🔥

A new collector from Saint Paul, Minnesota just purchased a 30" x 20" print of:

“Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge”
by Wayne Moran

There’s something timeless about the Minneapolis skyline at night.

The glowing city lights.
The reflection on the Mississippi River.
The historic Stone Arch Bridge standing strong beneath the modern skyline.

This image isn’t just about Minneapolis.

It’s about connection.
Memory.
Pride of place.
And surrounding ourselves with beauty that inspires us to live more fully alive.

More and more collectors are transforming their homes and offices with meaningful artwork that tells a story and creates emotion every single day.

That’s collector behavior.

Imagine this as a stunning centerpiece in your home, office, lobby, or creative space.
