On our first day exploring Lisbon, these magnificent horseshoe arches at Rossio Station stopped me in my tracks!

Look at that intricate stonework. Imagine the care, creativity, and craftsmanship poured into a place where people simply come and go every day.

🍁❤️ **Minnesota Has the BEST Autumn!** 🍂

Some days are so beautiful you wish you could hold onto them forever.

This was one of those days.

I captured this glorious autumn reflection at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan, Minnesota, during the spectacular autumn of 2023.

The brilliant colors, the peaceful water, the incredible reflections. It was one of those moments when God's creation seemed almost too beautiful to be real.

But you know what I love most about autumn?

**The memories.** ❤️

Remember those childhood days of jumping into enormous piles of leaves? Family drives through the countryside? Walking through the woods with someone special? The crisp air, the golden sunshine, and that wonderful feeling that everything was right with the world?

Some of those days are long behind us. Some of the people we shared them with may no longer be here.

But somehow, every autumn brings a little piece of those beautiful moments back to life.

In Lisbon, even looking up can become an unforgettable part of the journey. 💙🇵🇹

On our first day walking around Lisbon, we were already falling in love with the city’s incredible attention to beauty. This amazing tilework at Europe Lisboa Boutique Hotel stopped us in our tracks!

Blue and white patterns accented with golden yellow surround tall windows, transforming the building’s exterior into a richly detailed work of art. Curved iron balconies add another layer of elegance.

And this is just one example of the magnificent tilework waiting to be discovered throughout Lisbon!

These are the details I love finding when we travel. Between the famous landmarks, an ordinary stroll becomes something extraordinary when we slow down and look up.

Putting something you create out into the world is personal. There is a little piece of your heart in it, and you never quite know who it will reach. Can you almost hear the waves? 🌊☀️

Sunrise at Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Golden light on the horizon, grasses rising from the dunes, and that wonderful feeling that the whole day is still yours.

This is what I love about mornings at the coast. Before the beach gets busy, there’s time to breathe, wander, and watch the world wake up.

Some photographs bring back more than a place. They bring back a feeling. 🍁

Cool air on your cheeks. Leaves crunching beneath your boots. A favorite sweater pulled from the closet. A weekend drive where the scenery was the whole reason for going.

That’s what I love about autumn. Each new season somehow brings us back to old memories.

I photographed this view at Oberg Mountain on Minnesota’s North Shore. Those glorious colors are one more reason I’m proud to call Minnesota home. Even after traveling the world, scenes like this still make me stop in wonder.

🇵🇹 Lisbon, Portugal: Where History and Beauty Meet!

WOW! What an incredible introduction to Lisbon!

One of the first sights that greeted us as we began exploring this magnificent city was the stunning Restauradores Monument, standing proudly above the beautiful black-and-white Portuguese stonework of Praça dos Restauradores.

Built to commemorate Portugal's restoration of independence in 1640, this remarkable monument is a wonderful reminder that every great city has fascinating stories waiting to be discovered.

The architecture, the history, the brilliant blue skies, and the energy of Lisbon completely captured my imagination!

📸 This is one of my first finished fine art photographs from our recent three-week adventure through Portugal and Spain, and I'm incredibly excited to begin sharing this new collection with you!

Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more of the breathtaking architecture, historic cities, charming villages, and unforgettable places we discovered along the way.

What makes a lone Icelandic church so iconic? 🇮🇸

Is it the red roof standing out against the rugged landscape? The winding road drawing you closer? Or the misty mountains making this little church feel both small and significant?

For me, it is also the peace.

Ingjaldshóll Church on Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula brings together so much of what I love to photograph: beautiful architecture, a remarkable landscape, and a scene that invites you to slow down and look a little longer.

During our 21-day Iceland adventure, places like this reminded me why I create. I want to capture beauty you can return to, long after the journey ends.
