Friday I joined tens of thousands of people in the resistance of the atrocities happening in our state and all around our country. My fifth protest within the last year.
Saturday, I joined my sixth. This time it was four people on a corner in smaller Minnesota town paying respects and honoring the life of a human-being that was unjustly executed by our government.
Naturally, I have photos of both moments. Obviously the differences of these two photos are blatant to the eye. To the heart though, they’re one and the same.
On my personal socials, I am very vocal and consistent in sharing what I feel are moral and immoral; glimmers of hope and pangs of injustices; and just recently included the calling out of bigger companies like Target, Best Buy, etc., in calling for a stop to what is happening. Now, I, Depict Photography am no Target. And my follower count on my business page is barely any bigger than my (very private) personal page… And, just like these two photos above, to the eye it is an incredulous comparison. To my heart though, and to the heart of our country and humanity, it is the same.
So, both in my tiny entity of Depict Photography and in my life individually, I wholeheartedly call out the abhorrent behavior of the Trump-Vance administration; call out the stunning injustices and crimes committed against our country through this administration; ; and will continue to do what I can in the resistance against those who are here to harm and terrorize at the behest of a madman.
