I still love that this engagement session happened right before the snow came. The light was soft, the air felt calm, and everything about it felt intentional. Swords, lanterns, and pure magic turned a Minnesota day into a scene that felt straight out of a fantasy novel. Even though Becca and John’s wedding will take place in the Scottish Highlands at Eilean Donan Castle, this shoot felt like the first chapter, simple, magical, and full of anticipation. I was so honored to be a part of it all! ⚔️

Nicollette's birthday session was like stepping into a fantasy novel. We wandered through the library's quiet corners, moving softly between shelves like characters in a fairytale. The soft glow of light pouring in through the huge windows wrapped everything in a magical atmosphere. Bonding with a fellow Disney lover was a breeze, and her stunning tattoos left me in awe. Tessa stepped into the forest like a queen from another realm, silver gown flowing, sword in hand, and a crown that caught the last of the evening light. With her chainmail glinting between the trees, she looked every bit the elven warrior-mother. The mosquitoes may have been relentless, but they couldn’t dim the magic of the day. Ethereal, graceful, and full of sweetness, Tessa turned this maternity session into a tale worthy of Middle-earth. 🌿

She has no memory of how she came to be. Only fragments — feathers, fog, and flame. She walks down the wooden paths of the marshwood with black wings dragging behind like forgotten promises... not as a ghost, but as a keeper of balance. Her wings are not cursed. They are consequences. And in the shadows, the raven watches not to protect her, but to warn others. No one remembers her name, only the silence she brings — how birds stop singing when she kneels, how the candles light without flame. The raven does not follow her. He waits. For her. For Ashwing.
