Thank you SO MUCH for all of the likes, comments, and followers. I appreciate every single one of you! β₯οΈπ It means the world to me to share what I love with all of you!
These owls have been the most challenging and rewarding birds to photograph.
First you have to find them, which took me hours of searching over multiple days. It's a 40 minute walk into the woods, the owls rarely do much or even open their eyes until its near dark, which is when you probably want to be getting out of there. That leaves a small window of time to get photos.
It's very challenging to get focus on the subject and work with low light conditions. I've missed many good shots. π The nest is up super high and I'm working around a swamp. π And not so lucky for me, we are getting days of rain right now I may be SOL next visit unless I want to get IN the swamp.
And I've had some encounters in those woods of people who are suspicious. And I have to always stay extra vigilant so that adds another challenging layer.
Regardless of all that, I look at it as a blessing I'm able to experience it all and capture such an incredible, beautiful, bird in the wild like this. π€
