I will miss my mentor and fellow photographer 🥺😢 On several occasions, Mr. Natonbah would sit next to me court side at the Tohatchi basketball games. Mr. Natonbah will be missed, but not forgotten. Fly High 🕊️

Paul Natonabah, whose photographs documented more than four decades of Diné history for the Navajo Times, died Saturday, July 25. He was 82.

On May 22, 2026, my yáázh Ayrton "AJ" James Tagaban graduated and received a diploma from Hiroshi Miyamura High School. Seeing you grow into a smart and driven young man through my camera has truly been a privilege. I am so incredibly proud of your accomplishments at high school and at The University of New Mexico - UNM-Gallup Campus, and I can't wait to see the incredible things you'll do in the next chapter of your life. On May 16, 2026, we celebrated my yáázh (son), Ayrton James "AJ" Tagaban's graduation with an Associate of Applied Science in General Studies degree with honors from McKinley Academy at The University of New Mexico - UNM - Gallup Campus. I am incredibly proud of his achievements, as he successfully balanced his studies and athletics. He is a disciplined student-athlete who earned an academic letter for varsity soccer and in various sports, including junior varsity and varsity soccer, freshman, junior varsity, and varsity basketball, and freshman baseball. Ayrton will continue his education at UNM in Albuquerque, where he'll study Architecture. Congratulations AJ! You Did It!!❤️🤍🩶🐺🎓
